Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
I sympathise Jakki. I have the same problem with dust at my new place, but at least I'm not living there. Good that you are enjoying being back at work.
I have bubble and squeak and sausages tonight. I did some food shopping yesterday but without a list or any idea what I needed, so food for the week is a bit hit and miss!
the bathroom is still a work in progress. When the floor came up there was extensive wet rot underneath so that slowed everything up. But the bath is in and working (whirlpool), the wall tiles went on today. floor tiLes still to do, plus toilet and basin to go in. So my guess would be another two or three days. Study bed was installed in the small bedroom today, it looks great. Wardrobes are now installed in the main bedroom, again looking good. Wardrobes are going into the second bedroom tomorrow. So it's all getting there slowly.
christine, have a lovely time.
Hi everyone.
Glad things are going well with the new home Lynda, it all sounds very nice.
Hope Medusa is ok and the limp has gone.
Pleased work is going well Jakki.
Hope you got on ok at clinic Gillian
Hope you are ok Moomy.
Christine, really hope you have a lovely time, it will be hard at times I am sure but hope it goes well for you.
I managed to get Mick out in the car yesterday, our lovely neighbours took us out for a few hours good job it wasnt today as it has tipped down all day.
Love and best wishes to all Jasmin xx
Hey, all....
Hope you are all doing well, (or as well as you can be) Lynda (and Jakki) I remember so well the breaking through when we had our extension built, brick dust EVERYWHERE! (and for days, too)
Hope the kitties are ok, Carol, and the bigger kitty is being a restraining paw when needed.
Gillian, hope chemo is being gentle with you and the appointment went ok today too.
Jasmin, good to hear from you and you got Mick out, there are times he must feel 'stir crazy'
Keith, hope you and Rosemary are ok?
Christine, I really hope Paris is being beautiful for you....
I thought I started the day really well, got my freezer Christmas puddings made, and one on to steam, a big load of washing done and out to blow (not for too long as the dreaded clouds came over) and the lawn cut just before the rain! Some cleaning beckoned, but then I sat down.......haha!
I've watched the steaming pudding carefully as the saucepan I used under my mother's old steamer has a largish spout, so had to top the water up a couple of times!
Hugs to you all xxx
Moomy
Oooooh Lynda & Jakki how i'd love to get round your homes with my feather duster & jcloths, not much fun for you though with all that work going on
So pleased you've got settled back into work Jakki but don't be in too much of a rush to return to full time,it's more taxing than you think
You have been busy Moomy,i've not made a christmas pudding since i did one at school, mum used to make us one but after she had her operation she can't stand as long to do things like that but she does still bake & we usually come away from there with scones or cakes
Sounds like we had the best of the weather today, sunshine till about 5pm & then we had a downpour & of course i had a line full of washing, just been to feed the girls & it's raining again so they've had supper in the kennel,Medusa was curled up in the corner feeling sorry for herself, hopefully the nice vet will sort her out in the morning
How lovely that you got Mick out for a while yesterday Jasmin, you must both have enjoyed it,i hated being stuck in when i was off 4 years ago & when i broke my foot & had to sit with it up for 2 weeks i nearly went bonkers
Christine,i hope you have a fabulous time in paris
Special hugs to you & Rosemary Keith
And love & hugs to everybody else
