Jakk I have another 7 if they decide on a total pf 12 or 13 if it is 18. This is week 6 come Thursday.
Hello all,
well one ceiling painted yesterday by son And daughter in law. We have decided the hall and kitchen ceilings don't need doing, so just the lounge ceiling for J to do. They also took the old curtain poles in lounge and bedroom down for me as new ones are being fitted with the curtains. So today I filled the holes and painted those bits. Plus I painted behind where the plumber will fit the new basin and toilet.
thats it for now; no more painting until I get back from holiday when hopefully the bathroom and cloakroom will be finished and ready to paint.
hope everyone else has had a peaceful bank holiday.
moomy, hope your daughter is feeling a bit better after seeing mum and having a good sleep.
Thanks, all of you lovely folk!
She slept really well, she said, and although weather was wet to begin with, I had managed to use a decent window in the weather to start gardening, lots of weeds to pull up along the paths and patio, then daughter came down and joined me, and the lawn got cut, the ladders brought out and the weeds that permeate the huge stone wall got brought down, complete with a good few ripe blackberries! And lots of trimming of shrubs too.
So I think we will get there.....plan is for us to drive south after her psych appointment on Wednesday, she will spend a few days with us, arrange a spa stay together to look forward to in about a month, then she thinks she may come back here, hopefully in a more productive frame of mind. I suspect she had got to the point where things were just a bit too much trouble and then didn't have the 'oomph' to get stuck in to what needed doing.
Glad the chemo is going ok Gillian......., Jakki, I hope the steroids can be reduced soon and your fitness continues to improve, Lynda, so good to hear that you're almost complete, just a few bits now.....Carol, hope you survive the little ones.....Christine, sending you hugs.......Keith, hope Rosemary enjoyed the pottery.......
sending you all hugs xxx
Moomy
Moomy, she is so lucky to have you. a spa break sounds good. Do you have experience of any that will do massages on Cancer patients?

can anyone tell me why I feel so down tonight? I had an ok day, my plumber starts work tomorrow, I'm due to go away Monday. I should be feeling OKish, but instead I want to curl up in a corner and cry.
Oh, and I've even been looking at holidays for next year. I'm seriously thinking of going to China, and by chance spotted someone else in Way up went on the same trip last year so I got in touch with her and she has sent me her phone number so we can chat about the trip before I decide whether to book it.
Hope daughter is feeling better now Moomy, there's nothing better than a mummy cuddle when you feel sad,no matter how old you are
Sending a big hug to you Lynda to cheer you up
