  • Oh the dreaded predictive text! But I'm still none the wiser about Scrumptys? Good image of your mum on a Devon cider bender though! X

Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
As the images unwind, like the circles that you find in
    The windmills of your mind!

    1. The first 45 I ever bought was Anyone who had a heart
    2. One chilly evening in October 1996 in a small restaurant in France we met Sue and Paul from Liverpool. They became great friends
    3. I had never been to Liverpool before
    4. In her youth Sue sometimes went to the Cavern Club at the time Cilla worked in the cloakroom
    5. Sadly Sue suddenly died in 2013. We attended her funeral in St Mary's, Woolton, Liverpool
    6. A connection of mine on this site is from Woolton and knows the church well
    7. Today, Cilla's funeral is at St Mary's, Woolton

Like a circle in spiral, a wheel within a wheel.

    Hi Keith

What an amazing chain of links, the world is full of strange things like that, although i'm not a religious person i do believe in fate & that things happen & you meet people because that is the time it's meant to happen,my Vince often says he wishes we'd met 20 years ago,i tell him i'm pleased we didn't,we would have been different people back then & clearly not meant to be together, life & all we have done has made us who we are now & this is our time to be together

Well so much for Ruby settling into her new home, she turned into Houdini this morning & escaped through the cat flat, somehow managed to get through 2 gardens to get to where i was baby sitting, Polly was going frantic at the door so i went to see what all the fuss was about & could hear Ruby kicking off,Polly tried to pick her up,well Ruby's such a little biffer she couldn't get her off the floor so i had to pick her up,gather the child & bring her back here as everybody from her new home had gone to work, wonder how many times we'll play this game befor she realises where she now lives

How are we all doing today, hope everybody has had a good day & are feeling as well as can be

Love & hugs to all & special hugs for anybody that needs one

    xx

  • Carol, you're going to get exhausted from kitten running!

    Keith, fascinating!

Reading a brilliant book ( but a bit heavy going though really well written) on code breaking in WW2...... May be some time, haha!

    Hugs to all xxx

    Sister snail,

The Saxons had saying which I can't spell but it translates as 'fate is inexorable' meaning 'what is meant to happen will happen'. Have you read my profile? That's fate too.

  • Hi Keith,

Hi Keith, what a lovely, romantic read, ours wasn't anywhere near as romantic but it was fate that i was being swept out of the pud one friday night at the same time that Vince & his friend were walking past with a bag of chips, his friend was the one that said i should go out with Vince so i went for one drink to shut him up,13 years later & here we still are, hard up,happy & still laughing

When do you go away again Jakki, such a shame you couldn't have the day with us next tuesday but who knows,we may all get the chance to meet up,how nice it would be if we could find a place near enough for all us 24/7 people to meet up

Sounds like the book club is a bit too highbrow & educational for me,i'm reading a novel called bad behaviour & the next one in the pile is called the wrong knickers

How are the rest of you lovely people,i hope all have had a good day & are feeling ok

    Love & hugs to all

ps Thank you Moomy, last nights hug was much appreciated

  • Hi, Carol, sounds like you're reading the companion novel to "the wrong trousers!" X
