    Hi Everyone,

I have had a quiet day today Lynda, nice sunshine and quiet house so I went to church and then sat in the garden in the sun, reading!! ( for the first time for months) and sunbathing. I didn't realis how tired I am, really weary. I have booked my break to Paris.

You are so busy and glad to hear you more positive about the move and your decorating.

Gillian sorry you are not feeling so good hope it soon wears off.

Sister Snail glad you had a nice day and fun with the kittens.

Love to you Jasmin and love to Moomy too.

Pit is so nice to have a sunny summer day xxxx

    Hi Christine,

Glad you had a nice quiet day in the sunshine, I kept looking out and wanting to be out there but didn't want to leave Mick indoors on his own with his thoughts.  He says he is going to try and sit on a chair on the step tomorrow, I think it will do him good to get out, he was sitting indoors for a week, hospital for 2 weeks so needs airing!!

Lovely to meet you Jasmin,we have a lovely ginger tom that is a house cat,he's 12 & spoilt rotten & still naughty when the mood strikes,Polly is a stray that decided she needs to live here & us being the softies we are let her,she lives in a kennel,it was in the drive but is now in the garden,we'd love to have her in but Pud's having none of it,she does, however, nip in through the front door when she gets a chance,i really don't want to let the kittens go but i know we can't keep them,2 already have homes & hopefully we can soon find good homes for the other 3,what part of the country are you from

Hello Sister, I am very grateful to be part of your chats, I have been reading them for some time as Lynda has been very kind in another group, so have been following her in this one (sorry, sounds like I'm  a stalker).

We live in Berkshire between Ascot and Bracknell.

I have said to Mick 4 times today "I'd better do the ironing," but guess what it's still not done too late now I'll do it tomorrow.  I've been signed off sick for a month, nearly had 3 weeks already.

Please call me Carol, you will have noticed then that at times we are completely bonkers but always there in times of crisis, the lovely people on here have been there for me several times & i love them all to bits, even though they're all going through difficult times themselves they're always there with hugs & help, not sure i've been your way but no doubt if i ask dad he'll say of course you did when we went to so & so,i love ironing (told you i was bonkers) & have flyers out at the minute advertising that i do that, dog walking & help for people that can't get out or don't have time,i'm between jobs at the minute, left with a very bad taste in the mouth after a disagreement with management over how a "situation" was handled, much happier now i'm not there,i've decided i want to be a cleaner now, will you be back to work after a month or will you be off longer (sorry,i'm a nosey bugger)

While i'm thinking about it my lovely friend Lucy the other girl that was suspended with us has a new job & handed her notice in today, she said it's only 12 hours a week but she doesn't care as it gets her away from the hell hole & her days will be increased in a few weeks :-)

Hope you enjoyed the sun & some reading Christine & i'm so pleased you got that holiday booked do i need to get out in the garden & find some snails for you to try befor you go'i'll try most things but i'm not too sure about them or frogs legs, one kitten drew blood today, not Medusa as she's pleasantly calm today,it was the little darling that keeps trying to climb up the back of my leg, think i may have to take a rug out & sit on the lawn & not in a chair when i'm fussing them

How's your daughter Moomy,is she still away

    xx

  • Hey, Jasmin, welcome to this lovely calming room, I invented a space where there's a fridge and freezer for supplies, and a work surface so we can leave tasty things for each other, (including drinks too of course!) and comfy chairs and sofas. We have a wood burner as well as underfloor heating for the cold months, and bifold glass doors onto a lovely garden for the nice warm weather. And best of all, you can pop in any time of day or night!

Even better there are faeries who clean and tidy for us!

Hi Carol, yes, she flies home overnight tonight, has had beautiful weather while she's been there, think she's fallen in love with Banff, she hasn't seen the depth of snow and the cold of the Canadian winter of course! Think she might change her mind then......her photos look gorgeous! (Jasmin, she's the reason I'm still here, donor bone marrow transplants can take a VERY long time for recovery and can still leave lingering problems, plus she was over 7 years to get to remission!)

Carol, those kittens sound adorable, bless them! I bet you are an amazing surrogate Mum!

Christine, that holiday sounds good! I love France and wish I could persuade him indoors to get away more often.

Lynda, it's so lovely reading about your move and your trips around, great that your daughter in law loves you, but then why wouldn't she? You're lovely!

Met the new baby next door this evening, 2 weeks old and he's just as fair as his older brother at present. You really do forget how small they are, I love the little hands of babies!

    Hugs to you all xxx

I have spent the afternoon between looking at all the posts in here and watching Hubby rebuilding our garden railway. A tree has grown and was threatening the main line round the garden. So engineering works habe taken place to move the mainline a little further from the tree.

It is lovely to read all the posts on here and know that despitenall our troubles we continue with life. I do not want to be defined by my illness, I want to retain my identity and carry on.

  • Carol, naming the kittens is all very well but I bet the new homes will want their own names? As for Medusa, I'm not quite sure why? Is it because she glared at you so much? As for me being busy, I'm not too sure! We have her car here so at some stage she will arrive, but I know she has the show 'Gypsy' to play for in the first few days! Busy lady! I bet she will have jet lag too, so will want at least one day in bed (there's a small flat she borrows in London so will probably crash there!)

Christine, I ate winkles when I was young but not too sure about snails now......understand frogs legs taste a bit like chicken, again I don't think I could......

as for me being here to stay......I expect I will drop in and out, which is what I've been doing for a while, there seems nobody regular who knows much about stem cell transplants, and Hodgkin's lymphoma either with the various pitfalls once the first line of treatment has failed. So I guess my dropping in will continue a while yet.....I do have times when I simply don't pop in as it gets a bit much, but then there are new folk arrive in those groups who are a bit lost so I tuck them under a wing and try to help!

    Hugs to all xxx
