Hi Gillian,
I haven't had trifle for years and it'S so delicious, can't think why I never make it. I am having friends round for dinner Tom and will do tiramisu so will swap you some of that tomorrow for your yummy trifle today. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Love Jakki xx
Hello everyone, not sure if you've the same type of weather as we have here, but just to make you understand, the plants in the garden are smiling and happy! Yup, it's the first complete week of the school break and its wet and chilly!
But at least we've managed to do some odd jobs here, I have just finished the redcurrant jelly which has all set beautifully. Hubs has fitted the new cc cameras to the car (one forward, one to catch the tail gating trucks! ) we WILL get these roads safer! (Long history; we had one but he hadn't fitted it when someone drove right across our path and we bumped. They admitted liability but changed their minds, in the end, we had to pay half, have used the front facing camera ever since, it just died, we have become fed up with trucks trying to get into the back of the car while in speed restrictions like on most of the motorways, so he bought a newer one that has front and rear cameras and just fitted it!)
Daughter has obviously been feeling ok, posted a comic video on Facebook!
Made some scones, lots of home made jam and jelly, plus whipped cream, do help yourselves for afternoon tea!

Hello everybody
I've put bubbly in the fridge & there's bakewell tarts & puddings on the side, cream in the fridge & vanilla icecream in the freezer,do help yourselves, today we are celebrating my 4 year check up & not only did the doctor say everything is fine he also ask my date of birth, then said to Vince "is that right, the reason i'm asking is because you don't look old enough to have been born in that year" been grinning from ear to ear all day
Had a lovely day in Bakewell, only had a couple of little showers but the nearer we got to home the worse the weather got & it's now pouring down here
Trifle looks lovely Gillian but i'm still full of cake from our last stop for a cuppa
Hope all have had a good day & are having a good evening
Love & hugs to all
xx
Congratulations, dear Sister Snail! 4 years are good!
Big hugs, and a raised glass to you xxx

Great news. I will gladly raise a glass with you, and share in the Bakewell tart (I prefer it to the pudding!).
we have had a nice day here, on windermere hopping on and off the cruise boats at different stops. Dry all day, but cold. One more day with the parents tomorrow then they go home. I love having them here, but it does get tiring. As they get older they get more set in their ways. Plus cooking for us all is a strain as I hate cooking.
Lovely sister snail. I,am raising my glass to your next 10 years looking younger still!!
Glad you had a nice day Lynda, weather has been awful here just rained all day long and cold. Hope it is better next week.
Love to all xx
Pleased you had a good day Lynda
Thank you all for your good wishes,i loved that doctor when he said that
Would you believe it's just taken me an hour to register on the local councils job site & apply for a job as a school crossing lady,i began to think there was no end to the flipping form
I am away to my bed now as i have to be up at 6 to have my little mate while mummy goes to work, we're taking her out for breakfast & a spot of retail therapy
Love & hugs to all
Sleep well my lovely friends & i hope all have a good day tomorrow
xx
Hello All, I seem to be late on parade. Well done Sister snail, 4 years is good and tetting younger as well is even better.
It has been a lovely day here, I have just come in as it has clouded over.
Friends coming over for dinner tonight. I am off to finish dessert. Hubby isdoing starter amd main. I did all the shopping this morning and made a herb loaf yesterday.
Morning, all, what a grey wet and windy day! Wasn't around a lot yesterday, it was my late birthday present from our son, a trip to the Proms to see the first ever Fiddler on the Roof there, semi staged, it was brilliant! I didn't know the show but obviously recognised one of the songs, 'if I were a rich man', sung by the incomparable Bryn Terfel. As the show went on another few tunes were in to my memory , like 'Matchmaker' ......
wet and windy here, we were so lucky yesterday to be walking around in London in the warm and dry! Son's partner had his Mum too, so it was a merry party of four, in an Albert Hall of around 6,000!
Coffee is on, plus biscuits, yummy shortbread ones from Costco.....help yourselves
Hugs to you all xxx
