What a good idea Lynda, maybe more places should adopt that policy, bet the service would improve in a lot of places,we went somewhere one day & the staff were so bust talking to each other about their night out we got up & walked out

    xx

  • Sounds like you all had successful days, that's great!

It's been hectic as usual here, one of the Bombe rebuild team had visitors from Sweden, wanted hubs and me to do a special demo for them, as he thinks we are the 'A' team, so we did that, then I zoomed home ( had taken daughter's car as well as ours) so that I could be ready to drive the lass to Heathrow for her flight to Calgary, Canada, where she and some guys who have formed a group called Soul Tubes are doing a few gigs. They have keys and kit, ( piano and drums) and play mostly easy dance/listening stuff from the 80's and 90's.)

her problems seem to be easing a little, but she was a bit nervy going off a day before the rest of the gang, some of them have commitments and so are flying out tomorrow, and too, she likes to fly BA. She is often a little unsure of herself, we had big hugs, when I reminded her she has flown on her own to do trombone coaching in Peru before now! Made her laugh and then she was ok.....her flight is almost over Greenland now, she lands early tomorrow morning our time.

    Hugs to you all xxxxxxx

She sounds like a really determined and brave young lady.....but then just look at her mum.

  • Aww, that's lovely of you to say, but I'm just ordinary! Honest!

Went to see Oncologist today. Not starting chemo this week, start next Tuesday with first herceptin then Thursday with first of the weekly chemo.  Chemo for 18 weeks and herceptin every 3 Weeks for one year.

I am so frustrated that the plans have changed as hubby had organised work to fit in with plan A.

Heyho. I hope you have all had a good day. I have just made warm milk and syrup if anyone wants some.

    Blimey Christine,

She is very beautiful! she looks much older than nearly 12. Glad you had a lovely day, grandma time is very precious, I still remember wonderful times with my Grandma especially those when none of my siblings were there!.....................

    Carol, I have everything crossed.......................

Aw Gillian, that's such a pain but make sure you do some lovely things before next week..................

I went into work Mon and Tues morning this week, I felt a bit lost and anxious but am Sure this will settle eventually when I go back in September (all being well with my scan results next Wednesday) I plan to do a phased return starting with three mornings a week. Gav and I had a really good chat yesterday (he snook home early as he had to do some confidential stuff) when he caught me having a bit of a moment, we are thinking that I might reduce my days and do four rather than five but I haven't definitely decided yet. Any advice?........................

Moomy, your daughter is amazing, it gives me lots of hope to read how well she is doing after all she has been through...................

    Love to all
