Morning all.
Sounds as if everyone is busy. I have my son and his girlfriend here for the week so it is a bit busy. they are going out on their own today so I will try and sort out a few photos to post.
All a bit out of order but the top is a view over Budapest, then the Austrian Lakes (where sound of music was filmed), the mirabel palace in Salzberg, a riverside town in Austria, a view of Budapest from the water, and finally the parliament building in Budapest.
I have loads of photos, but don't want to bore you!
We did have clear blue sunshine from the day we arrived until the day we left. Very hot though, reaching 39 degrees so I haven't got much of a tan.
ive edited the post to say where the photos are.
It looks lovely Lynda. Thanks for sharing the pictures
i went with Titan. They are the same group of companies as Saga. All the travel worked very well, food was very good. The excursions were good, but a bit rushed.
Their organisation was very good. We had a couple of problems. Outside Titans control our tour manager discovered his son had stomach cancer and had to fly home halfway through the trip. There were plenty of crew and a cruise director on board which should have been good enough. But them one girl fell and dislocated her elbow. She ended up in hospital in Slovakia with no support from Titan, although they contacted her travel insurer (Staysure). The travel insurer was then sorting everything out to get her home, but seemed fairly slow To organise things and was very bad at communicating with her friend who remained on the ship.
i would travel with them again. I am going to throw one of their river cruises into the mix for our discussions on a cruise for next year, not sure which one though.
Hello everybody, hope all are well & have had a good day despite the miserable weather,i had a lovely day in nottingham, early night tonight as i have the school run with my little mate tomorrow
How lovely that you got to take the nephew to school Jakki,i used to love it when i collected the god daughter & her brother & they were both trying to tell me what they'd been doing at the same time,i thought those days were long past but it looks like i'm starting again :-)
What lovely photos Lynda,i love other peoples photos & hearing about there holidays or trips out, they always sound so much more exciting than mine
Sound like we're heading into derbyshire next friday after we leave the hospital, any advice on somewhere to go will be gratefully recieved
Love & hugs to all
xx
Am I right in thinking it is Titan that picks you up from home so you don't have to negotiate getting to the ship on your own
Yes the weather is rotten but still warm. My family arrived back from holiday in minorca today. I did miss them!
i just need a holiday so much as my spa break in Buxton with Dudley had to be cancelled. Lots of lovely places in Derbyshire Sister. Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth House to name but a few.
i have found a travel firm Riviera travel who do some good holidaus with fair single supplements and escorts so hoping to find something with them.xx
