You chuck the stuff in and it does everything, beeps when ready and you take bread out.

it keeps about three days, not as long as shop bought. It freezes well.

i use bread flour, dried yeast, oil (instead of butter but you can use butter), milk. But you could use a mix from a supermarket.

  • Mine is a Panasonic, tried a couple of makes, that is by far and away the best in my opinion, well worth paying out for!

I have found a super bread mix for the 'everyday' loaf, it keeps for about 2-3 days, but is ok for toast even a bit after that. I do experiment, think the marmite and cheese loaf was my best (not strong flavours, just enough) and also was getting a Christmas pudding loaf perfected last year, too, tasted a bit like hot cross buns.

Yes, with a bread mix, it's just open, bung it in and add the right amount of water, switch on and wait till it finished!

I'm on my second one. This one is a kenwood and works well.

i must try one of those mixes.

i have also used mine to make dough, then shaped it into rolls and cooked them in the ordinary oven. Muesli bread was interesting. Oh, and fruit cake worked well too.

Thank you,i think i may invest in one,i would ask for one for my birthday but that's months away so i'll have a look & see what's about

Polly was starving when she landed in our drive but she's well fed now, only trouble is she won't leave any for later, she eats whole sachet when you put it in the dish,i think she's frightened something will steal it if she leaves any

Well my dear friends i am away to my bed,for some reason i am very worn out today

Love, hugs & sweet dreams to all

    xx

I've got an LG, think it's the best thing since sliced bread, excuse the pun. Sometimes if I'm lazy just throw the sachet in, other times get a more adventus, do rather like a fruit load meself

Then sometimes do the health thing, and dip it in Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar, lovely.

    Regards

    Ian

Morning all. A lovely sleep and lie in.

Re bread makers, I make my own bread by hand. As long as you are round the house with time to leave it to prove it is easy. I make a bag of flour into six cobs. I taught my nephew to make bread and being a poor student he now does it all the time. He eats a lot of carbs as he is a runner and making your own bread is cheaper and tastier.

I hope everyone is well this sunny morning. It would be glorious if the wind settled.

We've just been in the garden for an hour & Polly has been lolling about all over the place hopeing to get her belly rubbed
