This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.

So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.

Love to all and extra strength to carry us through our next stage XXX

    Afternoon All,

I am getting very confused Sam with all your names. Are you changing your hair as much as your name???? Ha ha

Em - please send down some cottage pie to me, as I can't be bothered to make dinner for tonight!

Well, at the weekend I was given a picture of my dad from when he was 11 years old. He made his confirmation and was super smart. It didn't make me sad, quite the opposite. I am now on a mission to find as many pictures as I can. I am also learning things I never knew about my dad, which he kept secret. Secrets that he was embarrassed or didn't want to cause a fuss. But bloody hell, it showed he used his great determination and courage before- which he hid from me until he was near the end of his days.

Will I get any answers from him. No. Is it important? Not really. I swore to my dad I would live my life and I still refuse to give into fear. My life is for living and by Jiminny Cricket (can't swear!!) I NEVER want to be afraid of life. I am going to always fight for it, no matter what life throws my way. Its given me a fair old battering, I am still here though. Still standing tall, still blessed with those in my life, still able to love.

So extra strength to those who need it. Extra love to those who feel alone. You are SUPERB. All of you. Love Bern xx

    Work like you don't need the money;

Dance like no one is watching you.

Love like you've never been hurt before.

Sing as though no one can hear you.

Live as though heaven is on earth.

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin -- real life.
But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first,
Some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid.
At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.
This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness.
    Happiness is the way.
So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
