This is the start of a new journey for me and my much loved friends from the original Oesophegus thread on general discussions.
We have become a close group and this will be our new home to continue our journey as life has become very hard for many of us and we keep re-living our journeys with lots of newbies which puts us all back a bit.
So my lovely friends Mel, Sam, Helen, Bern, Jac, Nic, Dawn, Sue, Cath, Lesley, Jani and the many other special friends Mel and I have made over the last 16 months this is it we have a new home.
Love to all and extra strength to carry us through our next stage XXX
Good news. Dad's scan results were OK. There is no change at all in the tumour following completion of the chemotherapy and no spread at all. I'm so shocked. My auntie has told me off for reading too much 'cos I got upset the other day when we talking. I think my family think I've been really negative but I've simply tried to prepare them but I think I will keep my mouth shut in future. I know only too well what this disease does and how dad is really beating the odds at the moment but they are all oblivious.
Dad's having blood tests to try to understand what's causing the sickness and hopefully we'll have news on that in a couple of weeks.

Bern - don't know if you'll see this before you go away but I'm sorry to hear about your uncle and hope you can grieve peacefully. By that I mean grieve in your own way and in your own time.
Kel, I'm so pleased that the scan results where okay and yes hun you know your Dad is beating the odds but most people don't even allow the thought process to think that things can be so bad.
You try to relax a little and hope the sickness gets sorted asap, give your Dad a hug from me.

Me, well i had a fantastic 40th, woke up the next morning with the mother of all hangovers but it was well worth it.
This weekends gonna be a quiet one, getting older ya see lol. Well i am driving up to Barnet to see a mate, 1 hour from me, haven't EVER drove that far and i'm relying on the sat nav to get me there, oooh i'm shaking, but i'm always trying to push myself forward to try new things.

I spotted your rant thread, and I am so sorry that there isn't a way to fix. We care Dawn and we understand, so I hope that helps a little.
Well done for planning a drive to Barnet. We do that drive every couple of weeks, as Aaron's aunt and uncle live there. It's an easy drive, you will be ok. I hope you have a fab time.
