Evening dear lady,
Just dropping by to wish dear Caz all the luck in the world for tomorrow, will be thinking of her and praying this round goes as easy as possible for her.
This is just for you.
Hope today has not been too busy at BP for you and T, get those feet up tonight lo!
Much love dear friend.
Mrs Nag hahaha
Hi Tony,
So sorry that you are still receiving treatment for the side effect of R/T, hope things improve for you soon.
So pleased that you are still in remission, it is so good to have such good news on this forum, long may this continue for you.
Many ((((((((hugs)))))) for you too.
Love Maryxxxxxx
Tony, so good to know you are in remission and holding! Keep posting now and then to keep us up-dated....
Well, Caz is at the hospital today, not heard from her yet......but am sure she'll be being well looked after......
I heard last night I will be miaow-ing in our next concert, have been allocated the lower duet part! Yay! and wrist cast comes off tomorrow, can't wait to give arm and hand a good wash and hand cream! then BP to give in my CRB form and show I/D proof......
love and hugs to all

Caz was, for the first time, able to have the third and last dose of the course of Gemcitabine, is home and looking forward to her dinner! Her platelets were a bit low so she does need to ask for help if she cuts herself or badly bruises herself, but otherwise all is ok.

Thank you, Sue, have watched all the you tube Cat duets! but I too enjoyed the actual cats!

Hi Helen,
I'm glad Caz is doing ok.. xxxxxxx
I just wanted to pop in & wish you all the best for the great removal..I can't believe how quickly the time has flown. I remember when I had my plaster removed, it felt like my arm floated up in the air, it felt so light.
Here's to a bit of freedom.. I hope the physio goes well too!
Lots of love..
xxxxxxx
Evening Helen,
Bet your well and truly unplastered now
Seriously hope the hand feels ok now that you have your plaster off, lots lighter I would imagine.
Glad to hear that lovely Caz is doing ok and she managed her third round of chemo with no ill effects, bless her.
Love to you all
Maryxxxxx
Plaster off but a velcro splint on, physio on Thursday.......told no driving for about another month, but the doc doesn't know who he's up against, lol! Will be guided by my physio though.
Poor Caz had her third chemo weep session today, it is a combination of things, not helped by steroid drop after treatment either. Prof wants to continue while she is responding which has also thrown her into a bit of a panic, work-wise. but after a long chat on the phone she cheered up a bit, bless her. Prof says if she stops responding he'll swap her onto the trial drug he has got for another patient. So she doesn't know when she can plan to work, very frustrating for her! Also she is feared about her status with Seal in particular if and when she wants and is allowed to return to her touring!
love and hugs to you all

Hi Helen
Bet the relief was great - the first hand wash is wonderful isn't it?? In my experience the physio's word is law and over-rules all else.....Doc may sign you off from his/her care but you'll continue with physio for longer!!!! What colour velcro did you go for....I had a really bright purple - much to Alan's disgust!!!!!!
Poor Caz indeed - hope she is a little more cheerful now....but work worries won't help her. I'm sure she will find a way!!!! Sounds like she could do with some of Mum's pampering - but I think will have to 'make do' with lots of comforting Mum ((hugs)) for now??
Love and comforting ((hugs)) for you too Helen
Dot xxxxxxxxx
PS - congrats on your miaow-ing xxxx
Yes, Dot, that first hand wash was good, but what was even better was the soak in a sink of warm water when I got to BP! followed by hand cream of course, lashings of it! I didn't get a choice of velcro splint colour (but did of cast, had red followed by natural) .....needless to say they are 'made in China' but at least when you remove the metal strut they can be machine washed!
Poor Caz had to make to with a few 'spoken hugs' from me this evening, bless her, it is so tough being this far away when she's unhappy! But her housemate is very understanding and has coped with this very thing a good few times in the past herself, Caz has been there for her too of course!
Caz is lucky in one way, that her work is also her hobby as well as her livelihood, but it makes her a frustrated young woman when she cannot enjoy her life outside of the hospital set up which still puts her into sheer panic, she still needs sedatives to get through the door, and to be facing a donor transplant which could put her playing life out for a possible minimum 6 months is hard to face. But she's a plucky lass, so she will do it.....
love and hugs to all
