Hi Helen,
So sorry to hear about your broken wrist..I hope it's not too uncomfortable.
I can imagine the most frustrating part is that it's your right hand..I imagine hubs will be helping out with a few more things.
Sending lots of love & bone healing vibes..
xxxxxxx
I suspect the most frustrating thing will be not being able to drive, but hubs says he will even take me to my lunchtime choir, bless him.........both kids have said they will help all they can, even a neighbour across the way would too.....frustration is the order of the day, well, that and trying to find clothing that fits over the now rather large wrist.....lol!
love and hugs to you all......
Moomy
Awwww Helen some more (((((((((hugs)))))))), I have never broken a limb before so don't understand the pain and frustration, epecially only the use of one hand, must be so hard.
Take good care of yourself my dear friend, no more getting plastered hahaha, Heather stole it from you? Hope it made you chuckle or I will be running and hiding again!
Love Maryxxxxx
Had big hugs from our two yesterday, popped in to see son to take post for him....Caz is now in Marrakech, she flew out from Heathrow and is returning to Gatwick on Sunday, how odd is that? But only for one gig, so hope she gets some sun, it is nicely warm out there she says, about 23 degrees...........oh, where is the sun here?
Think 6 weeks till this plaster comes off will seem an eternity......putting contact lenses in is an art form, having to dry and style hair is tricky, but having to have a shallow bath on my knees instead of a shower feels strange! But the worst thing will be not being able to drive!
Moomy
Hi Helen,
Well I am green with envy, seriously I hope she has a wonderful few days, she has been through so much lately, she deserves a little break, god bless her.
Poor you, hope the next six weeks fly by as Heather has already said, echoing speech lo!
Just rest love, breaking a limb can take things out of you, especially the shock of the fall love, and you have also been through so much worry! SO GET THOSE FEET UP!!!!
Much love my dear friend along with ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))
Mrs Nag lo!
Mrs Nag has spoken Helen, please do as you're told! Only joking Mary, think you're just fab! x
And Marrakech is fab, very envious of Caz but oh-so much deserved for your girl, that lovely sun will give her a real boost I hope.
Rest up Helen, look after yourself
Much love from one "sicknote" to another!
xxx
Aww, Leah, bless you, hope you get better soon, how are those shoulders doing? Sick notes don't work for me.......!
I have found that I can't do a number of silly things, opening doors when I am carrying anything, carrying dinner plates through for us both.....all sorts of silly things that we take for granted normally......ah well.....am taking it as easy as I can!
love and hugs from me
Moomy
Evening Helen
It's such an eye-opener isn't it when we are incapacitated?? Even things like brushing hair and putting on socks is hard. I did my hand in summer so could wear flip-flop type sandals and had my hair cut fairly short so I could just run my fingers through it - much easier than brush or comb!!!! I 'supervised' in the kitchen and had a 'sous chef' to do the work!!!!! I have a little trolley to put plates dishes etc on - so that was the easy bit!!!! My biggest fear was that I would knock Alan out during the night!!!!! But he survived!!!
I am sure that your hubby is doing a fine job of looking after you.........
Love and ((((hugs))))
