    Hi Helen,

Hope you all had a wonderful time last night, bet you are putting your feet up now and rightly so.

  • It was a good gig, of course, being a family time there were huge numbers of kids there, the roar when the melding of Dr Who's ended with the last two was very loud, lol! The show ended with a Dalek-Cybermen fight! The special effects (and the band, of course, yes, she had an occasional solo) were the best part of the gig, very stunning.

Then after getting home late we were up very early on Saturday to help at the flu clinic, from 7 till 12, then I had a dress and tech rehearsal and a concert, (kept getting home and falling asleep between!) then Sunday was a BP day.....got up early (ish) for the dentist this morning, but apart from needing to clean the house, today I can at least have a breather, lol!

Phew! Whoever said retirement was a rest???????

  • Today at BP, Sir and I were learning all about the education side of the toys in the museum block, and watched one of the owners of the collection talk to small groups from a local school. It was fascinating, learnt a lot more about toys in war time.

Caz arrived here around 11.30pm, wanted some washing done! so we set it off last night around midnight, to be finished off today....long notes were left, for her for this morning as we went off first, and she left a note too as, needless to say, she'll be late tonight! Then maybe tomorrow we can at last put feet up, she will be driving back home tomorrow after lunch (which for her might be as late as 4pm!)......am fighting the urge to go to sleep right now!

love and hugs to you all

  • A well fed young woman has just left here for the next Dr Who gig this time in Sheffield! She is doing ok but is now thinking she might be allergic to her tbone mouthpiece, and has ordered a gold plated one, as this is just silver plate. Mouthpiece itself costs very little but the plating costs an extra £80! but at least it's tax deductable! She is glad of all this work, she puts a 'dep' in for Dr Who while she's filming for the Chris Moyles Quiz show, so will be with us for some days next week too for that. The work and pay for all this means she will be able to afford to take time out for the chemo to come.

We were all hoping for a lazy start to today, we've had so many late nights and early mornings......bless me, the gas man wanted to read the meter at 8.30am! cuss the man! ah well, maybe a nap later......!

love and hugs to you all

    Hi Helen,

I really hope you manage to get a lie in tomorrow, and a restful day, sounds like you could do with it love.

It is not sunny here Helen and not forecast for the rest of the week, really cold, our poor friend picked the worst week for the Northumberland coast, bless them, but at least they are comfortable.

Glad to hear Caz is busy with work and that she will be able to take some time off during her treatment without having to worry, god bless her.

Think of you all often and Caz will always be in our prayers.

Love and many ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to you both.

  • Well, the lie-in MIGHT happen sometime soon, I hope.......lol!

Caz is in Glasgow today, she'll be with us again next week for a few days, think it's Chris Moyles recording again. she's also going to help with getting videos transferred to DVDs ready for a group of friends getting together on November 13th. there are some of them we haven't met up with since all the kids were quite young, we all used to caravan rally together! So those same kids (well, adults now of course) have been hunting for a suitable date when we are all free since August......so it's mid-November! I've found and booked the venue!

love and hugs to you all
