  • Just had an email from Caz, she was in tears this morning, it took her ages to be able to move at all, she is now needing paracetamol and ibuprofen, poor kid, at regular intervals, plus her heat pack too.....she is seeing her physio again tomorrow. she's getting so frustrated, which also leads her to tears, bless her.

I sent her a picture of tonight's weird cloud effects here! it was like a huge fan coming out of the northern sky!

love and hugs to you all

Poor Caz - that dos not sound too good at all.  Yesterday I felt so bad that I asked the pharmacist to recommend something and he suggested Cocodamol and Ibuprofen alternately. A bit stronger than I would normally take but is working for me.  At least i can move without too many twinges now.....

  • I think it was just that she had run out of the meds, poor lass......she says as long as she has them she is just coping but has to get better as she has September gigs to get well for! Haven't heard how today's physio went yet.....

She sent us some photos from her new camera, they were brilliant! she really is getting to grips with it.

Hubs and i were in charge of the Toy Museum at Bletchley Park today, for our first time, lots of lovely chatty people!

  • Today's physio was working at spinal exercises, Caz has a slight alignment problem, she now has lots of exercises to do every day to help. She might need an x-ray.......has a CT booked for September 9th.       She's really been playing with her new camera, too, and is loving it! what an eye she has for a good picture!

love and hugs to you all

More to the point are you allowed to play with the toys??  Surely you have to demonstrate how they work.......xxx

PS - so sorry to hear about Caz's ongoing problems with her back.....Hope it will soon be sorted!!  She has enough to think on just now without worrying about that!!  Her special friend sounds lovely and caring........xxx

  • Today she has been in touch with the Christie, they are going to fit her in to have a look at her back, maybe an x-ray. in the meantime, she has been advised about seeing her GP for better pain relief. she sees the physio again on Friday. She thinks it is easing a little, but daren't get out of breath as then she wants to cough which is still agony, bless her.

Dot, we can play with a few toys but many are in glass cases, so can't play with them......ah well......!!!

Love and hugs to you all

  • Well, having made an appointment for tomorrow, her aches and pains are easing at last! Isn't that often the way? she said she had an anxious moment, wanting to cough, held her side to do so, and she felt a sudden crack, and it eased afterwards. all sounds muscular, that sometimes does happen. Her physio 'cracked' her neck during last appointment, too.

Interestingly, i read a doctors notes on f/b and twitter,he is a lymphoma specialist in Houston, Texas, and says a stem cell transplant can sometimes cause long term health effects, one he mentioned was musculo-skeletal problems!!! I emailed her with that, she rang straight back to let me know it is easing, even today is better than yesterday, she hasn't yet needed any pain relief. she was amazed, too, like me, to read that about SCT.

I'm busy making hedgerow jelly! (Have a Tefal jam maker) went foraging today, now I'm aching! lol!
