    Hi Moomy

Well I went today for my second chemo, the nurse took my pulse as usual and looked a bit serious then sent for a ecg machine, and after two runs of this said Have you had your warfarin today

No I Said The consultant which did camera down the throat stuff told me to stop taking it about two weeks before he did the tests in September and took me off dioxin too. My doctors rang me at home and asked why I hadn’t been in for my weekly blood test for IAM or something like that and I told them the consultant had stopped the doi xin and Warfarin so I didn’t hear from them again about it.

Your heartbeat is very dangerous at the moment she says, far too bad for me to offer you your chemo today, and I cannot believe the consultant took you off warfarin in September.

Well I said go and ask him them he’s only in the next corridor.

So off she went, too find him . when she came back with a big file she said Your right he did tell you to stop those. And its recorded in here but it doesn’t say anything about telling you to start taking them after the oeocope or whatever they call lit. well I said that’s cos he didn’t .

One of the consultants turns up

“So you haven’t had warfarin since September 12 then, or Dioxin”.

    “NO I haven’t”

NO one told you to start again with them after the throat check up”

Mac Nurse” there’s nothing in the records saying he was told to take them again”

Con “I cannot tell you to restart warfarin it’s a job for your doctor Im making an appointment for you to call at the GP surgery tonight on your way home will 5 20 be ok right then Ill see to that now. But we cannot give you your chemo treatment until we get this heart rate sorted out it will be very dangerous to do so.

I spent a full hour in the  surgery on the way home , angry and bloody mad at the way the medical profession are not looking after me and the sheer incompetence over the last 5 years

unfortunately she agreed with me; as the only doctor in the practice I haven’t seen over that period, the surgery closes at 17.30 and it was 1830 before we had sorted our selves out . I felt better for a rant and some one listening. Anyway I am back on Warfarin and Dioxin, blood test Friday and phone call from the Mac Nurse tomorrow with an appointment to see the chemo consultant Mr. Dhadda on Monday and hopefully have my second chemo on Wednesday next.

I’m drained now . but hopefully they have all got the message!” Stop messing me about”

I cannot get a home cuff that will work with a fibrillating heart beat anybody found an answer to that problem

  • Hmm, all goes to back up my impression that one should constantly be nosy and asking questions of all medical staff all the time!

Day four of the new kitchen, part of the ceiling has been re-plastered, the other part to be done today, electrics are virtually done, but we will wait till the kitchen is mostly complete before the power points are all on. The new floor hopefully will get put down today, this will be the first step towards the dust settling permanently! Yes, the dust is a grey layer spread through much of downstairs, the whole house will take a lot of cleaning once all is complete in the new kitchen! Ah well.....

my love and hugs to all

    mommy

I got on to the eye surgeon today, well his sec and ad a right good sort out about the five years its taken him to sort my right eye out it needs a new lens in it . and he just gets "one of his team" tp look at in outpatients and tell me to come back in 6 months time.

well I got wound up about yesterday afternoon and decided to sort it out

The outcome is that I may get it done this month by the man himself, I not letting any more "members of a team" touch me again. So thats a bit of good news . Oh look at the time 3 oclock in the morning and Im tired but cannot sleep. drugs have me wound up , I feel a bit poorly at the moment too, well delicate is what I feel realy!.

I will lie down again and rest best I can

    Hi Christine

NO I have felt realy poorly ALL DAY today and still do, I didnt sleep much thursday night and friday had to be at dr for a blood letting early 8.30 and I havent recovered .

this is the worst ill I have felt for a long time now, and feeling a bit sick too.

missed my chemo on wed cos my heartbeat was stupid .the con stopped my warfarin in early sept before a througt scan and didnt tell me to start taking them again, so thursday I had to start taking them all again and since I took them I feel ill.and I got the shakes now!.

Ive been trying to put a picture on my blog site without success maybe I should just go and lie down. I still got to take my afternoon pills yetmaybe Ill do that now and go bed!.
