Welcome to Warped.
I wanted to come back in time and explain something as it doesn't make sense otherwise...(though not much of this thread makes sense anyway) I set up this thread as explained below with a lovely dear lady called Sunny Leith. We had a lot of chat on here and the silliness got me and her and lots of others through some hard times. Sunny left the site when there was some criticism of warped and she deleted all her posts when she left. That is why it doesn't make sense to start with as all her posts are missing and it is a bit of a one sided conversation.... Enjoy it all the same...
Hi there,
This is a follow on from the 'dumb things people say' recent thread that is moving here with a health warning!
If you are feeling sensitive please don't read this thread as you may feel offended.... and we need a place to say what we need to say without worrying about offending people so you have been warned!!!!
This is for those of us who cope by being irreverent and silly and able to laugh at all the bad stuff. If you want to get the idea, read the last few pages of dumb things people say, I might see if I can cut and paste a few over to get us going....
In the meantime,
Sunny, you had me laughing my head off this morning with that image of you sitting there in your underwear, chocolate mouth etc!! I think it would have been hilarious if you had answered the door and invited them in.... they certainly would have needed oxygen by the time they got back down the speed they would have run away....!
Magel, how do they find us?? I live up a very steep hill in a very remote area and they made it up the hill to us too..... mind you, they were so out of breath they couldn't speak... almost felt sorry for them!
Can't remember what else we were on about as I can't see the last post anymore but lets continue here with the laughs and anyone new, feel free to join in.
Looking forward to hearing from you

After reading John's and Sue's latest posts, I've come to the conclusion that there was a very good reason for getting divorced after 20 years of marriage! It's never too late too cut your losses!
And if you guys are talking about the giant space-alien in the sky, I think it's some genderless freak, hence the fact that nobody knows what to expect from on high! At least men and women are predictable and I'll retain my faith in the best of them, come hell or high water! You guys in Macland in particular. That's enough faith for me.
Hoping I get a better night's sleep tonight, I think I'm starting to hallucinate and I haven't been anywhere near the Nurofen Plus, so no help there!
Speak to y'all tomorrow.
Lots of love, Ann x
Sue, I actually laughed out loud, especially the last paragraph!
Great we can keep such a good sense of humour, it's essential!
I had a phone call from my brother earlier, telling me he had been in serious trouble with the police.
He had been to see an old girlfriend and when he saw her one thing led to another and before he knew it they were making love. He got into so much bother as he was only supposed to be identifying her body!
I really have to watch who I hang out with these days lol.
Have a good weekend everybody.
Love, Christine xx
lol the golf joke, ive read it before and so so closely tempted to shove my partners golf clubs where the sun done shine, not cus of his personality just cus of something else and then i heard a rag and bone man come around the estate the other day "ANY OLD IRON ANY OLD IRON" in the mood i was in lets jsut say i was so tempted to get his "irons" woods, big berthas out of our car boots and chuck them in that bloody lorry
As usual this page is a real tonic. John, how do you feel about being in drag if we manage to get a ward where we can all be together?
All these golf stories remind me of an incident a couple of weeks ago where friends were gathered for a 21st birthday party. One of the daughters has a problem with strobe lighting and panic attacks and the family said their goodbyes early, father stating that their daughter was feeling unwell. Later on my hubby informed me that the father had used this as an excuse because he had an important golf game the next day!
Anyway, the only hole these men are enthusiastic about is the 19th :-)
Naughty Stinker! I thought you were a lady...
All this talk of holes is making me wince.... ha ha
Just about to start the last leg of my journey home.. (I do like to go the long way round I know) so about to drive from Devon to Wales. Please don't bother coming out on the M5 again and clogging it up- I know you like to wave me off and that... but its ok. I know you love me :o)
I'm putting it off cos once I am through the door, the bubble of my existence bursts and its jumping back in big time... and at the moment I feel this cancer business is the biggest head f**** you can get...its like things might start to get back to the new normal so you are trying to plan your future with starting work etc but not actually knowing whether you have a future yet until the great fortune teller aka GC tells you, so it there any point in spending time planning it when it might not happen and you could just sit and drink gin and admire the view instead, but then if you do have a future, you are going to be so busy cos you haven't done anything cos you have been sitting drinking gin and admiring the view....
Sorry, that slipped out- should have been a blog not a warped... sorry.
still, it will be lovley to see P again.... and the cats....
My head is all over the place at the moment, so nothing silly to say, but normal service will be resumed asap.
and of course I will be home so can play with you lot (how did I manage away from you ha ha)

Eh Sunny....19th hole is the Clubhouse.........drinkies! Don't know what you thought it was. Ha ha! Oh, I'm no lady believe me :-)
LM, afraid that you have been having too good a time lately, and you occasionally have to have a reality check. Best thing is to plan your next crazy activity. Well, returning to teaching is pretty crazy. The only bit I miss is the kids. Still keep in touch with some ex-colleagues/ex-parents, in fact off to Malverns tomorrow for the day to meet up with those that have been camping over weekend, and the 10 of us have a cottage booked for our annual weekend away in 4 weeks.
Don't forget to buy some fresh Rolos for when you see GM. Sod the future, get the gin out and enjoy your reunion with P

I know Stinker! I did/do know what the 19th hole is, but following on from reading some previous posts, my mind had sunk to sewer level... Chemo brain did the rest. I'm definitely sure now that I got it wrong, but I didn't get you wrong did I ;-0
Naughty girl is right!
And by the way, I'm trying to keep LM off the rolos, the follow up reading is too harrowing. With you on the Gin though!
Ann x
Ha Sunny!
We can blame anything on chemo brain. My lads (in 20s) still call me their Little Asian Chemo Mum!The first, third and last bits are correct, but my parents are Anglo-Asian and English, and I was born and bred in the sunny Midlands.
I wonder whose posts you had been reading for your mind to sink that low???? Ha ha! Definitely think John has been at the laughing gas :-)
Take care xxx
