Welcome to Warped.

I wanted to come back in time and explain something as it doesn't make sense otherwise...(though not much of this thread makes sense anyway)  I set up this thread as explained below with a lovely dear lady called Sunny Leith. We had a lot of chat on here and the silliness got me and her and lots of others through some hard times. Sunny left the site when there was some criticism of warped  and she deleted all her posts when she left. That is why it doesn't make sense to start with as all her posts are missing and it is a bit of a one sided conversation.... Enjoy it all the same...

Hi there,

This is a follow on from the 'dumb things people say' recent thread that is moving here with a health warning!

If you are feeling sensitive please don't read this thread as you may feel offended.... and we need a place to say what we need to say without worrying about offending people so  you have been warned!!!!

This is for those of us who cope by being irreverent and silly and able to laugh at all the bad stuff. If you want to get the idea, read the last few pages of dumb things people say, I might see if I can cut and paste a few over to get us going....

In the meantime,

Sunny, you had me laughing my head off this morning with that image of you sitting there in your underwear, chocolate mouth etc!! I think it would have been hilarious if you had answered the door and invited them in.... they certainly would have needed oxygen by the time they got back down the speed they would have run away....!

Magel, how do they find us?? I live up a very steep hill in a very remote area and they made it up the hill to us too..... mind you, they were so out of breath they couldn't speak... almost felt sorry for them!

Can't remember what else we were on about as I can't see the last post anymore but lets continue here with the laughs and anyone new, feel free to join in.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Little My x

Good Sunday morning to you all.

Hi Ems, nice to see you pop in there, and glad you're feeling brighter. Go kick ass girl!!! Big hugs xx

Orange boxes and crystal improvised radio, how inovative of you Odin. We had a stool with portable tv on and Beanbags to sit on, so I suppose that was luxury. We were nurse students when wanting to move in together so we were drawn into the 100% mortgage with a 50/50% shared ownership. It was an 80's idea but it got us on the ladder.

Have fun today Odin with your son and DIL. What kind of exhibition is it. Hope it goes well. I'm actually going to a wedding exhibition later with daughter and mum.

Market researching coffee eh Louise, did you have fine tremours after all that caffeine tee hee. Now before you all think i'm really really thick and explain market research to me, it was a joke heheee :))

So it's prom time for your daughter Tim. Where the bloody hell did all that start? America probably!! grrrrr. So Tim, have you booked the Limo yet. LIMO you say! Yep that's what they all seem to want to arrive in. All little groups of friends having fun in Limos and stepping out onto the red carpet in their prom dresses and dinner suits. Don't agree with it but what do you do as a parent when it's what your teenager wants and what is expected even by the school. I sound like a grumpy old woman now don't I, sorry 'cos your daughter will love it and have much fun. I suppose society is in a continual change eh and we are old farts, note I said WE and not I tee hee :)

Reports are in that you had lots of mud fun and much more LM so hurrayyyyyyyyyyy. Don't know how you skinned a rabbit though ugh. Did you take your axe with you then Max could have some wood fun? You'll need a big rest when you get in but it'll be nice to hear all your antics. xx

    Catch you all later,

    take care

    Jan xx

    Good morning you lovely lot,

Tim I hope your shed is not beyond help and you can breed some more mice I'm sure, don't think you can afford to buy a new shed as daughters seem to have done a number on you !!!!! what a lovely daddy you sound ; ) I have a cousin who lives down your way in Hawkesbury.

Odin making furniture out of orange boxes sounds like fun, but being robbed in Chester sounds frightening. I used to live and work in Chester in Browns the department store it was great fun, it was like" are you being served", lots of funny characters and I lived with my first love who I thought the sun shone from his bum. Lovely city though, with the river and the horse racing.

Odin all the very best of luck to your son. What is the exhibition for? Oh and well done Wales for beating England yesterday (sorry to the English folk)............... NOT : )

Hello Ems, hugs for you xx

Louise getting paid for drinking coffee sounds like a good day out and maybe a little lunch and a wee glass or two of wine!!!!!!

Jan I missed your pancakes yesterday, how did the house viewing go? Its so very hard to get on that ladder, hope they make the first run.

Oh and LM I hope you have recharged your batteries and we are all looking forward to some laughs.

Love Ruby xxxxx        ( COME ON SCOTLAND FOR THE RUGBY )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  sorry I had to get that out xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    WHOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO HIYAAAAAAAH!!!!

Hello my lovelies, I'm back from the woods and mud and that... did you miss me? did you? did you?

I am soooooo tired its scary. I keep looking up and realising I was sort of unconscious asleep but I had the best time :)

The class were lovely and I nearly forgot about caner and all that. In a yurt in the woods eating home grown healthy food, lots of countryside and fresh air and laughter and hugs galore from friends I thought I might not see again.... and a week with Max too :)

Great bubble of a week where I was just me, not teacher, or cancer patient or whatever, just me and friends a load of happy kids  and no tv or computers or radio or newspapers or anyhting. and no sleep of course (teenagers don't go to sleep early and had to get up early)

So, now the tricky bit of back to work tomorrow (and I think I don't want to do it anymore, but we'll see...)

and pre- op checkup next week, GC check up the week after and then op the week after that... eeeeek!

Anyway, I couldn't keep up with everything you lot have been writing about so sorry about that and just popping in to say hello and i am back and had the best time and despite having a stinking cold, I feel quite well though i could sleep for a week.

I went to Chester zoo when I was a kid... does that count? I didn't rob anyone there...

I need a bath cos I smell of woodsmoke and mud hahaaa.

There was a German there and he wanted to learn new words so I gave him a new word or phrase everyday to learn and a mission to get it into the conversation.

Today's was whippersnappers, yesterday's was 'shipshape and Bristol fashion' poor man you can imagine the rest of the week....

Will chat more later, just wanted to say hello before you forgot who I was!

    Hugs to you all

    Little My xxxx

ps here's a glimpse of the highlight of my week (not)

We ate wholefoods which make you poo a lot in a farty diarrhoea sort of fashion.

We had Compost toilets with no electricity.

I had 2 pairs of long johns, 2 pairs of socks, jeans and waterproof trousers on

It was dark and I only have a smallhand held torch.

Imagine.... Bag bursting off and crapping yourself both at once with the above...

    Oh. My. Lord.

    Dear L.M

Your last sentence is mind blowing!! I thought it was bad enough in my camper van for the week-end, with no lights on!

Glad to see you are back ok, even if tired and with cold. Hope you get an early night!

I have been away for the week end in my camper van!! Have driven it before but not on my own. Theres a first time for everything.

I went with my husbands son and wife in their motor home, and my daughter and husband in their caravan.

I feel I achieved something good this week-end.I am sure my husband would be proud of me!

I am so glad you had a good week with friends, althogh I am not too sure the German gentleman would consider you to be one, although his understanding of the english language doesnt seem too hot!!!!

Nice to see you back safe and well!

    Love

    Respect

Yay!!!! Respect... You made it onto warped!! No escape now my dear!

Sorry about that last sentence... it was kind of funny and kind of not but I did manage to sort it all out without too much fuss... just that sinking feeling of oh no.... and trying to get changed without muck spreading taking on a whole new meaning hahaaaaaa.

i like the sound of your campervanning trip and well done you for doing it on your own!!

The German guy is sweet and he laughed a lot at my phrases and actually it made the others laugh too at his funny phrases he got in.

Nice to hear from you and well done you for getting out and about!

I am off to bed now I think- can't focus anymore.

    Little My xxx

ps I'm back and we are talking about poo again Hooorah!

Welcome back LM and hiya Respect...just popped in to say that todays the day I start radiotheraphy to both brain and lung, and as its a 66mile round trip to the hossie and I go 5 days a week I may be a little tired ( read knackered lol ) for the next 3 weeks.  Sooooo I probably will pop in now and again to read but might not post,so be very careful about what you might say behind my back hahaha.    Also got some very good news again....the tinzaparin i take to get rid of cousin clot is apparently very effective at dealing with cancer as well,so much so that there is a trial going on using tinzaparin on lung cancer patients, the lodger won't know whats hit him with this double whammy,   every dark cloud etc.     Nice to see we are back on the subject of poo,we can always rely on LM to lift the tone of conversation back to its proper level, but don't get me started on campervans and Chester,to cut a long story short.......1st campervan/2 young children/ set off for Wales/breakdown near Chester /spend 2 days in caravan next to garage( kindly lent to us by garage owner) while van fixed, the zoo was lovely but the holiday was crap.   After that things got progessivley worse with each holiday till we traded it in for a trailer tent then later a caravan.  I could write a book about the joys of camping with young children and strangely enough there would be a lot of talk about poo thrown in as well. These days its got to be a proper bed every night and food cooked for me when on holiday.......hang on ...I don't get that at home, summat wrong somewhere tee hee.   Well thats all folks, hope everyone is well...ooopppsss nearly forgot...so sorry to hear things arn't going so well for Ems,the waiting is definatly the worst part cos you just can't get on and make plans/arrangements XXXXXX   Culottes

    Hello to everyone!

Well I dunno Ms Culottes, are you sure you're not putting it on a bit, all this moaning about being tired... ;) heehee! Good luck to you my lovely, and when you get some energy, we shall be looking forward to seeing you are got on :)

Poo and camping go hand-in-hand... as long as the poo isn't IN your hand I think you're doing well ... I have had kids with nappies full of liquid poo after trying out exotic dishes at festivals, and armed with a very smelly child and an industrial sized box of baby wipes, I have managed to push my way to the front of a queue for loos, or histed soggy and smelly child unde rmy arm and marched back to the tent! Ah yes, the joys :))

Thanks for thinking of me even as you are about to go in and get zapped, you are very lovely :)

In fact,, I just love the way we all look after each other as often as possible :)))

And I can now stop moping about like a wet flannel, as the Heath called today, and I can have the date of the 13th March! Huzzah! Now I have the date I feel somewhat relieved. My mother has already made plans to have me and the girls move into her place for a few days after my ''release date'' (this was the phrase given by the nurse - will I be in prison then?? Serving time for unknown crimes? This is all too likely I'm afraid) - which will be what I need I know as I will be ''trashed'' (another nursey phrase!) but I'll also be desperate to get home after 3 weeks ''inside'', so it'll be a bit odd haha!

Tomorrow, I am taking my mother to see ''The best exotic Marigold Hotel'' in the afternoon, a bit of mum & daughter time, and an excuse to go the cinema minus the kiddies! Will my mum want as much popcorn as the kiddies....?

    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It all seems a bit scary going "inside" for 3 weeks...I complained about a few days...but of course your unknown crime is being a warpie and its because of that you will survive, mmm think theres a song somewhere in that.   Its beginning to sound like we need a rest home for warpies for when we get trashed.....I couldn't go to my Mums she has a  bungalow. There is an awful lot happening in the next few weeks and we are all going to get better, whats that saying" no pain no gain"  well I for one have had enough of the pain so roll on the gain. What will we all do with ourselves when we have nothing to complain about I wonder.     Ah well time will tell  Roll on the 13th for you,Friday for LM,and sorry cos I forgot the important date for Hilary, but roll on anyway XXXXXXXX Culottes
