Welcome to Warped.

I wanted to come back in time and explain something as it doesn't make sense otherwise...(though not much of this thread makes sense anyway)  I set up this thread as explained below with a lovely dear lady called Sunny Leith. We had a lot of chat on here and the silliness got me and her and lots of others through some hard times. Sunny left the site when there was some criticism of warped  and she deleted all her posts when she left. That is why it doesn't make sense to start with as all her posts are missing and it is a bit of a one sided conversation.... Enjoy it all the same...

Hi there,

This is a follow on from the 'dumb things people say' recent thread that is moving here with a health warning!

If you are feeling sensitive please don't read this thread as you may feel offended.... and we need a place to say what we need to say without worrying about offending people so  you have been warned!!!!

This is for those of us who cope by being irreverent and silly and able to laugh at all the bad stuff. If you want to get the idea, read the last few pages of dumb things people say, I might see if I can cut and paste a few over to get us going....

In the meantime,

Sunny, you had me laughing my head off this morning with that image of you sitting there in your underwear, chocolate mouth etc!! I think it would have been hilarious if you had answered the door and invited them in.... they certainly would have needed oxygen by the time they got back down the speed they would have run away....!

Magel, how do they find us?? I live up a very steep hill in a very remote area and they made it up the hill to us too..... mind you, they were so out of breath they couldn't speak... almost felt sorry for them!

Can't remember what else we were on about as I can't see the last post anymore but lets continue here with the laughs and anyone new, feel free to join in.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Little My x

    Good morning warpies,

What a busy few days it's been on here.

Good luck Ems and have fun today with LM. I'm sure you'll both get up to mischief of some kind. Do check that she hasn't got her axe to hand!!

That RT seems endless Culottes, but I used to tick each session off on my list and counted them down. It was very satisfying to get to each goal haha. First a double figure 10 yay then 13 is a teen and so on. Did anyone else do that or is it just silly me? It'll soon pass by, so good luck for the old onwards and upwards x

Well, Hilary, What can I say!! LM sure is digging out those youtube funnies. We know how you two are so competative so what can you come back with?? LM that tune is stuck in my head now with an image of the meekat. Hope you are feeling OK Hilary, may I send you a big (((hug))) xxx

How lovely to have granny granson time Louise to sing and play, there's nothing like it eh? And it's true what they say. Us nans can spoil our grandchildren, have fun and then when we are tired, give them back and have a rest. My son has just gone to pick up our little 4 yr old. He's staying over for a few nights 'cos it's school hols. So that's me up early to make honey pancakes for breckie, but I love it.

Clairbel, I too got flowers this year hmmm it's a bit worrying really 'cos we never do valentines, we're not into commercial stuff. But Dunc felt that I needed cheering up a bit this year. Made me thing ooooo dear am I that miserable to live with tee hee :) Well done Tom though, he even managed to get them despite his manflu!! Oh and I think a good building for the cinema site would be a dog/cat rescue centre. We'd all like that on here 'cos it seems we are mostly dog or cat lovers.

So golf is your thing then Cruton? I'm sure you'll get back to it soon enough. Do you keep your clubs in your wheelie bin? They could come in useful in a rescue. I was a karate girl myself but since the stoma, I don't feel confident to go back. They do have sheilds to protect it but I think it's a bit silly to jepordise (can't spell that), my health with a contact sport. So now I do yoga instead! Far more gentle and I think I was getting a bit passed the karate anyway hehe.

Well Odin, we are all ready and rearing to go on your command. May I send you a big welsh cwtch just because!!!! Infact may I welsh cwtch and hug and stor kram you all. Oh and that includes you Respect who I believe may be peeping in but a little too shy to say hello. Come on in you are most welcome xxx

    Take care all

    Hi you warpy wonderful lot

LM I can't believe you have a license to use a chain saw?? Did I read that right?!!!

Wish we could have a fire! Need to throw all our money at getting the chimney fixed though, its needs repointing. Isn't it way more fun to spend money on fun things than sensible things??

Good idea to get Tom to build a new office. I think I might suggest that

thank you for the rescue offers - I may take you up on them next week. Am working from home today

Respect - please join us :)

Culottes - welcome!! I am one of the cat loving people but I def don't like the 'little gifts' they bring in! Nina thankfully doesn't do that  but my cat Poppy did - one time she brought in a bat!!! And another time a live rabbit!! Good luck with your radiotherapy hun xxx

Louise- I laughed out loud at what your son said!  Glad you had a good time with your grandson!

Spoons and hugs to Hils and Lorna and Ems and everyone else too

Yay! Happy days, Tim - I remember the non poo days with nostalgia although the current iron tabs are causing the same problem... :-((.  I think I'm in love with senokot....

Any road (Yorkshire expression), it will be nice to exchange poo-isms with understanding peeps without fear of offending.

Got to go and do something now - not No2, I should explain - so speak to everyone later.

    Toodles. Julia X

    Welcome Julia!

Just a sort note as I'm off to play bowls.

Tim, you should get a job writing rhymes for Valentines cards. They would be different to the normal violets are blue

    Hugs, Cwtches krams and love,

Tsk, young people. 'Wilco' is short for 'will comply'. Or full-length an American indie band, as you prefer.

Violets are violet, so I don't even know what's up with the blue thing.

I AM SO BORED. How can I find work to do from home? How? I may never be able to go back to work again if I'm going to be stuck in limbo forever, and if I have to spend the rest of my life just arseing around then Mr Crab might as well call it a win. Also, being bored makes me depressed, and we don't want that.

I suppose at least I have windows ...

I had a nice little idea when I was stuck at home and just as it was coming to fruition, remission and a new job got in the way!

It does involve a lot of clickety click though so if you can't knit, this isn't for you.... :-(

Have now got a house full of knitted things, and various stuff ready for my non existent craft stall... And drove hubby mad with all the wool stash. So maybe not the best idea for you.

    Granny Julia X
