Welcome to Warped.

I wanted to come back in time and explain something as it doesn't make sense otherwise...(though not much of this thread makes sense anyway)  I set up this thread as explained below with a lovely dear lady called Sunny Leith. We had a lot of chat on here and the silliness got me and her and lots of others through some hard times. Sunny left the site when there was some criticism of warped  and she deleted all her posts when she left. That is why it doesn't make sense to start with as all her posts are missing and it is a bit of a one sided conversation.... Enjoy it all the same...

Hi there,

This is a follow on from the 'dumb things people say' recent thread that is moving here with a health warning!

If you are feeling sensitive please don't read this thread as you may feel offended.... and we need a place to say what we need to say without worrying about offending people so  you have been warned!!!!

This is for those of us who cope by being irreverent and silly and able to laugh at all the bad stuff. If you want to get the idea, read the last few pages of dumb things people say, I might see if I can cut and paste a few over to get us going....

In the meantime,

Sunny, you had me laughing my head off this morning with that image of you sitting there in your underwear, chocolate mouth etc!! I think it would have been hilarious if you had answered the door and invited them in.... they certainly would have needed oxygen by the time they got back down the speed they would have run away....!

Magel, how do they find us?? I live up a very steep hill in a very remote area and they made it up the hill to us too..... mind you, they were so out of breath they couldn't speak... almost felt sorry for them!

Can't remember what else we were on about as I can't see the last post anymore but lets continue here with the laughs and anyone new, feel free to join in.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Little My x

  • Lesley I Hope all you are hoping for comes your way here's to trials.

I have been for my sick review the last I have to go to as retire at the end of the month.

Review was as expected" Oh I just know your scan results will be fine " How ?"are you psychic" thought not said I just nodded and smiled and waited for Scotty to beam me up but he must have had trouble with the transporter as usual then "how brave and what a strong woman you are to cope with that and your husband leaving you like that don't know how I would have coped "Well what bloody alternative did I have I have my daughters to think about again smiled and nodded where are you scotty?and on it went thank you for all your hard work how you will be missed etc

I then went over to see my staff and staff from the other ward I worked on to take xmas gifts and cards and to say goodbye and thank yous

I tried not to be emotional did not want to ruin my tough what a bitch image

One of my staff runs marathons and did the great north run in my name and raised quite a lot of money he asked me what I wanted to do with the cash so instead of saying oh thats nice I will have a little holiday I asked him to give it to a little girl who has cancer her family are raising funds to take her to Disney world and she wants a human hair wig so think that it is better spent in that way but a break would be nice as everyone must now know I didn't get to New York I am over that honest

So here's to early retirement I will have to get myself a twin set and pearls so I can be a lady who lunches Oh nearly forgot because posh meal called off due to most of my friends having chest infections one of my friends is making us all a meal at her house tomorrow night to make up for it something to look forward to

Can't wait to see the end of this shite year well had to get shit in here somewhere

    Hugs to all

Hi everyone, will you lot stop scaring me with your impromtu hospital visits and scans and maybe clots and things!

I had lunch with ems and bought trollbeads in the shop next door. She walks bloody fast for a girl on chemo and I can't keep up with her... she also led me up and down various stairs trying to find coffee... I think she was just showing off. Anyway, loads of Hi how are you's and only got one tilt... when i said I didn't want the happiness troll trollbead cos I was already happy enough already... the lady went off on one of awwww and happiness comes from within blah blah and we wanted ALL the beads out to look at. She was a bit nervous. if only she knew how slowly either of us run... not a hope in hell of getting out of the shop with a bead!  I got Thor's hammer cos he is my guardian ancient Scandinavian protector god and they didn't have a serpent... plus I had dropped rather a lot of hints about serpents so better wait and see. I am getting a tattoo on my hip to cover the tattoo dots from radiotherapy of an ancient thor type symbol at some point so sounded a good choice for a bead. its also 6 months since I stopped treatment so that seemed like a celebration too and it'll give me protection on Friday's check up, not that I'm nervous or anything... and if not good news then I got a consolation shiny thing... see? I can convince myself the need for anything.. maybe I should offer my services... want a cheap excuse? want to convinve yourself why you need it now? Come to LM's cheap excuse emporium.. speciality expensive shiny things !

Anyway, ems is fab and fun and I was dizzy by the time we left from talking and laughing too much.

Max is coming home tomorrow Yay! Better go and find the airbed for him cos the spare room is still sky high with boxes... we have cleared a bed sized path for him ha haaa that'll teach him to go away from home. I have also decided to drive him back down and as I can't manage a 4 hour drive there and back in the same day anymore, I am going to surprise him with a night in a swanky hotel with pool and free wifi etc hahaaaaa. I don't think he has ever stayed in a hotel except for a night in Finland when he was a kid so should be fun :) Just need to find one that's not booked up now..

Got a lot to do for Christmas and 'cancer bonus' that my family are getting me nice shiny pressies for once.. ha haaaa.

And I can't remember why I came on now so you get a ramble from me instead. ah well...

I think it was Stinker's check up today- hope it went ok. Hils scared me for a bit as did Tim...

Cruton, you should have got the money for a holiday for yourself! Or at least for a twin set and pearls for your luncheoning... I can recommend it! Well done for surviving the tilts and the I know you'll be fine comments!

I went for a swim today cos the pool is shut for Christmas so thought I better had. When i got there, it was only me and a still pool. Bliss and I felt like I was going really quick cos no one to compare to. then a load of boys came in jumping around and making waves and the other guard came on in a santa type red jacket with his shorts (NOT a good look) and put a tape of Christmas jolly music on really loudly. For F*cks sake... can't you even have a swim in peace without enforced gaity and jollity!?!? Oh and a lady came in an lapped me about 4 times... not so fast after all Little my! Bah grump.

Enough rambling on.. Hove and lugs to you all and no more scaring me ok?

    Little My xxx

    ps... hahaaaa not got one!

Morning again :) I spent all afternoon clearing stuff (inbetween playing games on Facebook) I can walk through my bedroom even AFTER bringing stuff back in from my daughter's, and we did all her clothes too and have a big bag of clothes and box of books to give away. Still more to do but I've started late again. Ah well, I am on holiday :)

Hope you are all feeling the best you can, I'm off to Google trollbeads.

Blimey, Lesley... don't wear yourself out! I'd stick to playing games :)

Trollbeads... you are doomed... once seen...!

Not too late for a special Christmas pressie haha.

I have the leather bracelet, ems being more girly nd glam than me has the silver one...

any good books you're giving away? :)

I am off to the train station to get the prodical son for Christmas... poor lad, we move house so he hasn't got a bedroom (shared spare room/study for me) and its full of boxes so he's got to clear  space for his bed, then there's those horrible shrubs in the garden to chop down... and the bookcase that needs moving.. and the tree to pollard and the shopping bags to carry... and and

and I wonder why he's off volunteering! haha

Hove and lugs and spoons and kram and cwtches to you all

Why have children if you don't intend to work them like slaves? That's why I ran away to Penzance, else I'd've ended up being the Dutiful Daughter staying at home with my aged parents. Blow that for a game of soldiers.

Having said which, I hope Max has a lovely, *cough*, holiday!

Sod that indeed! I ran away to Aberdeen (opposite end to you Hils!)

Max has  been home 3 hours. He has had a haircut, rearranged the furniture, moved all the boxes into the garage, made his own bed (including inflating it) and been shown the garden and what needs doing... he's also had the hint of Oh the ceiling needs painting haha. Its the first time he's seen our new house cos I can't get down to pick him up what like I used to and trains cost lots and luckily for us he likes it!

I am buying him a pizza for dinner though so don't say I don't spoil him!

Max says thanks for the good wishes and he would come on and say Hi himself but he hasn't got time, what with the hoovering and gardening and all...

And before you think I am an evil witch (I know, too late for you Hilary) He is currently sat on the sofa with his dad and a couple of cats reading a magazine and waiting for the simpsons to come on... oh and with a cup of tea... OK? don't need to phone childline just yet...

My study looks snuggly and fab now he's put all the boxes in the garage :D

Sorry some of you are sounding a bit down... sending you hugs and smiles and sparkly shiny things as well as spoons.

    Hi all,

Sorry I am still not very active on here and in the toilet department! Baggy has not been doing his job very well since I came home, and I felt really bloated today. In fact baggy hardly did anything all day and I was getting a tad concerned, so I decided to go shit or bust! I have been drinking water like bilio, so far I have had 5 pints since 4pm, and it does seem to be having an effect. Other than my near constant peeing baggy has now been "flowing" for a couple of hours. I know it is horrible, but generally I can tell what baggy is filling up with (usually 6 to 8 hours after eating....hey presto) but at present I can't. I reckon I'm currently 3 days behind!

If I keep on supping the water maybe I will be back to normal for Christmas dinner!

Pizza, Simpsons and a cup of tea, well that's nearly my young life, just change the tea for lager!

Apologies for not keeping up to date with all of you, but I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to Xmas.

    Hi Tim.

Hope your baggy sorts himself out very soon and not all at once! Better be ok in time for Christmas! Take care of yourself eh?

Its a bit quiet on here tonight... going to watch tv with the boys and drink tea too...

Off to get our tree tomorrow and do the food shopping just in case GC keeps me busy all Friday... Oh and pressies to wrap and and and... I thought I was meant to be on holiday????

Night night all and biggest hugs to you all, hope you are not on here cos you are having fun elsewhere or at least not glum

If you are glum, a big big super smiley hug from me :)
