I have been visiting a Maggie’s Centre but didn’t want to admit to private treatment so told them I was under the NHS oncologist. I felt embarrassed at the time that I was doing private treatment. Is there any way they would look this up and find out? I need their support so badly but will they check with the oncologist name I gave and realise I didn’t tell the truth? Is it standard practise for them to store the name of your oncolgisy and check you’ve met the nursing team on fiel! They phoned to verify my phone number, DOB and who I see and whether I have contact with nursing staff and I panicked. I need them during this cancer journey! Please help!
