Hi Clarey40 and welcome to the group.
It can be a difficult time, waiting to see the specialist, especially as the appointment gets closer. Our minds can run away with thoughts of all sorts as our imagination takes over. If you find yourself awake, or worrying, we have a very busy thread in the group here for general chat which can help take your mind off things here
Once you have your appointment, and know what’s happening, we have a lot of different cancer specific support groups too if you get a cancer diagnosis, and it can be really helpful to be able to connect with others who are going through the same thing. I know it will be hard not to worry at the moment, but things can feel a lot easier once you get some answers about what’s going on.
Come back and let us know how it goes, and if you need any help in navigating round the community there will help to keep you right and get you to the best place.

I’ve taken paracetamol as advised but found another lump & white patch on my tonsil it’s so stressful just the worry thinking the worst I went to urgent care center yesterday because it’s getting painful so hopefully just ear infection & sore throat did hurt to swallow the other day but it’s fine now just annoying xx
Pain can make it very difficult to cope with worry, but hopefully paracetamol can help a bit for now. Our minds can easily go to worst case scenario when we have undiagnosed symptoms but we can’t diagnose ourselves, so try to keep busy and distract yourself as much as possible if you can. I know it’s hard though.
All the best for getting some answers this week.
Sarah xx
