I sometimes have nights when I don't sleep at all, but then end up the following day sleeping for a couple of hours, so during the night I make myself busy investigating my family tree, an ongoing investigation and I've not found to my annoyance any rogues or rascals, yet.
But other time I read and investigate things on the internet, my surviving sister works for the NHS is always telling me to get tested for this and that, B12 deficiency a couple of years proved positive so I now have B12 injection every month. Just lately she has said I might be magnesium deficient, so asked my doctor and she said it wouldn't harm me at my age, 77, taking a magnesium supplement. Last night awake as usual I searched the net to see if magnesium would affect any of my medication and the answer was no, but what I did find is a paper published early this year investigating Magnesium deficiency and Pca
As for my sleepless nights, I'm okay with them really, l've always been late to bed, or should that be late to sleep, reading books, any sort of books since I was a boy, that might be, why as a young soldier, I had a reputation of being able to sleep anywhere.
It's early yet and what amazes me so much is how quiet our village has become at night.
Hope my ramble is okay, sleep tight Cyril
Hi Cyril/Safeways
I don't have problems sleeping, fortunately, but do enjoy researching my family tree. I think the biggest rogue I've found is the husband of my 4x great grand-aunt who was sentenced to death at Norfolk Assizes in 1834 for intent to murder. This was commuted to deportation to Australia for life. Between 1834 and 1841 his wife and children emigrated to Australia to join him.
If you're struggling to sleep again you might like to join in with the awake and up all night thread within this group. I'm sure you'll always find someone else who's awake too.
All the best with your family tree.
Anne
