Alone at night and worrying
It's really hard to look on the bright side and I find it difficult to put it to one side. Nothing much to smile about at the moment. I practise meditation most days and my mantras are "i am safe" and "trust the future". Have to wait a couple of weeks for results. This is a really helpful site, although it is very new to me. Thanks for your message. Saltysally
Hi Saltysally, your welcome my friend, and I understand fully where we find ourselves at the beginning of our journeys, it's a difficult place to find our way through, and the not knowing is the worst feeling of all, but getting through it we do. Your mantras sound very comforting, as is meditation, I practice relaxation to help me sleep, and being positive, as many a consultant will tell you they can do 50% of of your treatment, the other 50 is down to you, and the community is a wonderful place my friend. I've been on it nearly 3 years, and my only regret is not joining sooner, so well done to you for joining early.

Thanks so much for being there. I did manage a better sleep last night, but feel so tired today. You are so right about positivity. I am trying to smile as much as I can and try to go for walks as much as possible. Yesterday I managed 4 short walks in the local area
Saltysally
Hi Saltysally, 4 walks is fab, as is any exercise my friend, not only will it help you through treatment, it releases your feel good hormones which as well as making you feel a little better, take your mind away from those thoughts none of us wants, and hopefully helps with sleep, and is proven to boost the immune system, so well done you, and keep it up, as it helped me and so many others through the early days, I hope you have something on for the weekend, I'm dropping my partner off at the airport, then visiting family in Dorset, so 2 nice things lol Eddie xx
Have an amazing time. Thank you so much x
Salty sally
Awww, thanks Saltysally, it's always lovely to see my auntie+family in Dorset, seeing my partner off to Australia for 4 months is hard but necessary due to her illness, and as she's been going for 17 years, I'm kinda used to it, so my friend, how is your weekend going?
Eddie xx
