Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hey Julie,

Glad some good news in there.

when does your second cycle start?

So hard to keep the worry in check, but you clearly are a strong person and this group will always have your back Hugging

  • Thank you Rose. I do feel very supported here that's for sure. I'm so glad I found you all Heart️.

Back in Wednesday for more of the same! No rest for the wicked!! Onwards and upwards!! Muscle

    Hope you're ok.

    Julie xx

  • Gosh, straight back in.  Hope you can give yourself a treat of some sort today.

    i’m doing ok, thanks.

I ironed my p.j.s at the weekend Blush.  As l’m being admitted the day before the surgery, I can take a leaf out of your book re lippy! I would say glam myself up, but even without my glasses on, I know that’s a stretch too far these days  Joy

  • I must admit for me too, a bit of makeup doesn't make much difference now but it makes me feel good. That's all that matters! You will feel ready for whatever is thrown at you Rose.

I will definitely be ironing my PJs when I have my stay in hospital at the end of the summer!

    Julie xxx

  • Sorry to hear this. The fact that you are feeling scared is totally understandable. Do you have family, friends you can lean on for some support. I know none of us can make this better, but you do have all our love and blessings. I'm sending you all my love.

  •   sending you my love too xx

  • Hi Julie Wave I'm so pleased for you that your news is positive.

You are indeed strong - it comes through loud and clear when you post, so keep that resilience up for what lies ahead. We're all here for you, always xxx

  • Me and my wife did a Ravi Shanka meditation again today but fell asleep before the end. Would recommend if you just want to calm yourself.

  • Also would recommend Catherine Ryan's podcast about celebrity's biological age.

  • Hi Uki Wave the Catherine Ryan podcast sounds interesting, so I'll take a look.

I haven't tried Ravi's yet as it coincided with a post from Dingg, and I wanted to stay awake for if she got back to us. I'm really upset about her news today, and am wishing hard that their doctors will find a way forward for them Pray I hate this insideous disease and the dreadful toll it takes on us all. You'll know all about that my friend xxx
