Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I assume the scooter is not a lightweight travel type or a folding one. Some larger scooters can be dismantled to allow easier transportation but they are generally class 2 4mph pavement scooters. Class 3 8mph capable on road scooters rarely come apart easily. However, both classes are heavy, usually a two man lift if they need to go into a vehicle which is too high for ramps or has not got a tail lift. Try not to get involved with the lifting. They are awkward and can only be lifted a certain way, not by the bodywork which is not strong enough. Best of luck advising your compatriots.
I know he has struggled recently with the undeniable deterioration in Parky pal's condition and what this means. Add in Scoot's cancer ...
Stressy has had umm ... a very ... challenging life. His family were (or are although there is no contact) extremely toxic. He wasn't viewed as having additional needs as child. Autism diagnosis is very recent.
He has endured multiple traumas that would wreck anyone. The autism obviously affects how they are processed. Lots of bits of counselling and finally had it acknowledged that he needed high level expertise and put on 5 year waiting list.
Several crises while waiting but clinging on by a hair... as the 5 years were finally drawing to an end, called for a review. I was very suspicious but Parky pal actually attended that appointment with him.
Then a letter arrived. Copy of one sent to his GP so full of tech terms but basically said he has no need of service.
Cheers
Poor Stressy. I reckon he's got a friend in you hon.
Night pet xxx
Apologies for delay.... typing and constantly correcting here takes ages.
It's a Quingo with fixed 'cage' for the canopy. Even the canopy cage won't come off... tried that before. So yes it will need ramp.
I suggested contacting his scooter fixers, who have just serviced his and have previously repaired the Quingo, as they operate a takeaway and bring back repair service with variety of vans. The Qingo doesn't fit their small van! Stressy reckons they don't even cover all of our city which I find odd
Cheers
