Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Fingers crossed your curry won't affect you in any way other than you enjoyed it hon, and good luck
I miss making those as they were OH's absolute favourite but since his surgery curries have proven to be a bit dicey for his throat. No harm in trying again at a later date, I hope.
Nothing much planned for us sweetie, other than a grocery shop tomorrow and the usual chores. Rugby's on right now but I'm busy looking at properties again, not just because of what we've got planned but because it's something I've always been into. Homes Under the Hammer has been a firm favourite for the longest time and it also feeds my unquenchable nosiness! I love seeing how others have decorated and it gives me some useful ideas.
Well whatever you've got planned for this weekend hon, make sure you enjoy it. Cwtches coming to Cardiff xxxx
Evening folks. Koo! What a lot of chat and news!
Thanks to all who wished me well. Foot grief today so been looking up taping, I am already doing all the stretches. As I only use public transport, not walking much isn't really an option. Sedan chair anyone?
Wow congratulations on new job, a week of treatment etc etc
Err your hairdresser is supposed to advise not dictate. Unless there is a hair health reason not to colour, go for it. There are 'kinder' colour options these days and a dynamic 'do' can transform how we feel ... and are perceived!
Better post this bit
Hiya Shimmer old faithful's here, but not for long if Messrs Hamster, Glitch and Clunky put in an appearance. Not up for their meddling at this hour hon xxx
For everyone putting up with arthritis... we know why we do but we sort of just accept it as wear n tear, part of aging, side effects of other health or treatment... but it is worth having another think.
Understandably when juggling other major health or treatments it gets put on the back burner but ... find out if paracetamol is the best option, what else fits with your other medication. Get advise on whether movement and weight bearing will help or hinder and discover if there are classes or gadgets that can assist with mobility exercises
Lots of areas have wellbeing services free or at reduced cost for cancer patients, carers. Massage anyone?
Also there are lots of natty gadgets that can help with dressing, meal prep if wrists etc are involved.
Some folk find looking at what they eat and making adjustments beneficial.
Apologies for telling granny how to suck eggs
Ok posting this bit.
Evening oops! Morning! How did it get to be this time?
Love your house interest. One of my favourite teaching practices as a student, I did looking at the future. A big project that culminated in the kids presenting a TV news style program with ads.
They had fabulous ideas about clothes etc such as a jumper that kept you warm but if worn inside out kept you cool.
For homes ideas I gave them piles of sheets from estate agents. Remember the days before everything was online ?
Cheers
My wrists, but particularly my knees, cause a fair bit of pain. Mam had it bad so probs my fate too.
I've got an old sedan chair in the shed but my chairmen handed in their livery and walked out on the job. Too fed up with stumbling over the junk on next door's path was their excuse.
You can have it if you want xxx
I've still got all the blurb from the estate agents on houses I've bought in the past. Miles better than looking online. xxx
Ok one sedan chair ... hmmm man/woman with van might get it here but ... first, let me fashion up some phrases which turn lugging me around for free into an amazing opportunity to experience a ground breaking fitness regime for an exceptionally low fee
Cheers
Absolutely. I love viewings too. Though it's hard when you've walked around a place you know you absolutely cannot have
Cheers
Get Stressy and pal liveried up and tell em to holler 'Clear the way!' at everyone in their way.
It'll do your foot the world of good and great exercise for the boys. Look after the chair though cos it was hand crafted in 1693. A bargain for the cost of a van xxx
