Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Well, this is the fifth time I’ve tried to reply. When I first tried my name came up but no box to write in!
I am pleased it is not just me, thanks Gill for your reply. I think I might get some shuteye now as my eyes are closing trying to write this. The last one has disappeared so I hope this is ok or you will think I’m ignoring you.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Love Annette x
Morning Debs.
I know hon, like I said to Annette, it's a worry but fingers crossed, tightly, the news will be positive for him.
How are you lovely? Hopefully in a better place but the blues are very hard to shake off, so just take your own time and don't feel pressured about anything xx
I managed a few hours but wide awake now, so thinking of going shopping to Tesco's soon - get it done before it gets too hot. What's the weather like in west Wales this morning and any plans for today? Just make sure you get plenty of relaxing time in as it's been an emotionally draining week. Just know Buck is happy and free from pain now.
Sending loads of hugs xxx
Morning sweetie, how quickly you get used to chatting via the online chat, I miss it, so hope it’s back up soon.
im struggling a bit hon but will get there. The weather is shining, the birds are singing, Jon’s feeling a little less stressed and snoozing away, I can’t complain. But I miss my big man, never mind onwards and upwards.
Today we’re meeting friends for lunch in a lovely local inn, they will be bringing Ted’s best pal Pete the Shitzu, so he will be happy. Honey loves Cherry and Steph so she should perk up a bit as well. Apart from that we will be avoiding Cardigan as it’s carnival day so will be rammed.
I hope Sian and Nige are ok. I’m worried about Nigel’s visit yesterday and seriously hope he got some good news. He certainly needs it.
Lets hope our chat line opens up again soon !!!
Speak later sweetie …. Good luck with the recliner xxx
Thank you hon, and enjoy your day as well as is possible. At least the doggies will have some fun and they're far more resilient creatures than we are.
Hopefully chat soon and get the news we're desperately hoping for.
Love to you, Jon and your furry babies xxx
Morning Gilly, that's wonderful news about LOH accessory nerve being intact, what an enormous boost to you both, and now knowing it's down to you and LOH and lot's of hard work to make driving a reality again, must be such a motivator, so keep cracking the whip girl."at exercise", your private life is private, and has osteopathic therapy or electrostimulation been discussed to aid recovery. Oh I love a fried egg butty too, luckily with uber fresh duck eggs from the allotment, heaven, and I'm sure you both deserve all the treats and good news coming your way.
The twins are nearly 8 months old, where does the time go, so I make pasteurised ice cream, no nasty bacteria for the little ones, with lots of fruit from the allotment so sugar free as well, but naturally sweet, it's popular with us grown ups too. PS I have 2 cats come into my life this month, a cute little ginger down th allotment, and a handsome, half tiger, fella at the hospice, onwards and Upwards my friend.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Morning Eddie.
The cats! Such cuties and I know they'll have a great life under your care. I've always found animal lovers are kind people all round and you're no exception my friend.
Now those therapies you mentioned haven't been offered, but I'll certainly mention them at his next clinic; we'll take anything up for grabs if it helps his mobility. And yes, we were as pleased as punch to find the nerve had only taken a battering during surgery.
Your ice cream sounds scrumptious - we do tend to talk about food quite a bit on here and it always makes me hungry! I don't think I've tried a duck egg though.
You and Sheila have a brilliant weekend with your family and breathe in that glorious sea air - it'll do you a power of good.
Sending love and hugs xxx
