My oncogist is going to resume my chemo in a few weeks , it's a back to the drawing board  time lol. My other chemo was stopped because of some  adverse neurological probs. My immunotherapy was stopped this month as after a scan did show that my cancer was no longer responding and was in fact growing , but fortunately it was still confined to my stomach , peretoneum and lymph nodes.

Unfortunately do to a nasty few weeks of pain control I was given a bed at a hospice to try and get the pain under control and so fare we appear to be going the right  far and are heading inthe right direction and hopefully i could be out with a week.

I had a chap come round today and seemed quite intent on me signing a DNR form , I never thought my condition was that serious , but he said they like to get all these things sorted earlier rather than later.

The only thing I really want to get sorted at th moment is to get my brains unravelled,I know the words  pictures ect , but i can't spit them out lol ....I think they call it chemo brain ...and it's frustrating lol..

So if anyone know what's happening next I would love to know in advance . Lol..

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that you're struggling with pain at the moment but I'm hoping the hospice will be able to get it under control for you.

I wasn't sure from your post if you were asking what happens next in terms of your treatment or what happens next in terms of signing a DNR form.

If it's the former then it might be an idea to also post this message in the stomach cancer group but if it's about the latter then you could post your question in the Ask an Information and Support Adviser section of the online community. Clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there if you wanted to message the Macmillan advisers.

    Wishing you all the best
