Hi Has anyone had one of these prior to beast surgery. Is it very painful? Thanks.

  • Hi

It's natural to have worries about upcoming treatment.

I can see that you've already joined the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support. I'm sure if you post this question there you'll find people willing to share their experience of having the nuclear dye injection. I had the injection in my arm when I was having a sentinel lymph node biopsy for melanoma and I would say it just stung a bit.

It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi MAL70

I had the nuclear dye injection before my operation.  The injection stung a bit but it wasn't sore at all.

Hope this helps to set your mind at rest and best of luck with your surgery.

    Best wishes
