Hi I just about finished a cycle of chemotherapy in October last year. It came to an abrupt end after I ended up in hospital with pneumonia and pulmonary embolisms. Anyway I'm over that but recently started to get knee joint pain and sore heels. Oncologist said arthralgia but since talking to her the skin on my heels and finger tips has hardened and peeling off. Doc given me some cream and mentioned nerve related. I've just been taken by surprise that this can all occur so long after chemotherapy. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm also getting more tired.
Hi
I'm sorry to read all that you're going through at the moment.
You might also like to post this in the triple negative breast cancer group, which I can see you're a member of, to see if others who have had treatment for this type of breast cancer have also had these problems. If this is something you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there.
Another suggestion is to join the main breast cancer group as they have a dedicated chemotherapy thread which you could post your question in. Again the link I've created will take you to the group which you can join and post in the same way as you did here. Once you've joined the group if you want to ask your questions in the chemotherapy thread, look in the 'diagnosis and treatment' section for the thread called 'Feb & March 2021 Breast Cancer Chemo'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi , I still get some sore hands, and tingling in hands and feet a year after chemo stopped. Oncologist put me on Pyridoxine which did help, but am currently trying amitriptyline instead. Mine is palmer plantar erasma rather than peripheral neuropathy. I too am still very tired, but this might be partly long covid in my case as well. Take care.
