Hi everyone, I’m just hoping to find some inspiring examples of women diagnosed with breast cancer  but is now stage 4 (liver) who is winning on treatment . Feeling very alone and panicked at the moment, surgery/ ablation is not an option due to widespread tumours, oncologist says he has a wide range of treatment options for me. But being a mum of 8&11 year old, and only 45 myself I am beyond worried

hoping to hear “it’s ok, you have at least 10 years to see your children grow up” but I understand that it maybe not possible

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and it's natural to feel scared right now. It's good to see that your oncologist has a wide range of treatment options for you.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the secondary breast cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who's breast cancer has spread. If you'd like to do that, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
