Hi there. I’m new to this group and feeling a bit lost and very worried.
I'm 43yrs old and had breast screening a week ago. I have 2 x lumps in my right breast and some raised nodes. I’ve been advised I’m highly likely to have cancer. I had 4 x biopsies at my appt. but require another on calcification noted. I’ve also been told I need a CT scan of chest, abdo and pelvis. I then came home yesterday to a letter with an appt. for a bone scan but it’s not for another 2 weeks.
Are all these tests routine/essential or should I be worried, as I still haven’t got a date through for confirmation of diagnosis, cancer grade and what treatment I will need?
bone scans are all part of it, helps determine density and such, i had one done before chemo, i assume ct scans are xhecks because of possible lymph node involvement.
but i understand the fear, the unknowns and what ifs and the waiting for answers is brutal sending hugs
