  1. Diagnosed 34 early November. I originally went in with two small lumps which I thought were suspicious and upon biopsy new they were cancer it turns out that the original diagnosis wasn't as expected on the ultrasound I showed two small tumors and no lymph node involvement.
  2. I was scheduled for 2 lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy which i had before Xmas
  3. My results clear margins on both tumors (great) however 2 out of 4 lymph nodes came back positive.
  4. To say I was upset is an understatement.
  5. Ct scan clear.
  6. I'm still waiting on having a bone scan did anyone else wait over 2 weeks for a bone scan?
  7. I also havnt been offered futher surgery to clear the rest of my lymph nodes as apparently radiotherapy and chemotherapy will help mop up stray cells. I can't help but think why am I not having a full clearance and I'm yet to speak to anyone who has been in my situation? Is their anyone who had positive lymph nodes and hasn't had futher surgery? Trying not to panick.
  8. Also is there anyone who waited 2 weeks just to have a bone scan??
  9. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  10. Thank you xx
  • Hi everyone,

I want to share my mom's breast cancer journey and hear from others with similar experiences. She's 59, and our world turned upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2024. The initial news was tough - the cancer had spread to her liver, and her first oncologist painted a pretty grim picture.

    Her diagnosis:
    - Triple positive breast cancer (ER/PR +ve plus HER2+ve)
    - Primary tumor in left breast
    - Some lymph node involvement
    - Several spots in the liver

The doctors started her on TCHP treatment (Nab-Pacletaxel, Carboplatin, Phesgo). She's completed 5 cycles so far, and here's the amazing part - her latest PET scan in December shows incredible results:
    - The breast tumor is no longer active
    - The lymph nodes have shrunk significantly
    - The liver spots have either disappeared or become tiny and inactive
    - No new areas of cancer anywhere

Her oncologist says she's responding remarkably well to the treatment. The plan is to finish the remaining TCHP cycle (6th Cycle), continue with Phesgo (the targeted therapy), and then start hormone therapy, no surgery required per the oncologist.

What gives us hope is how well she's handled the treatment and how dramatically the cancer has responded. But naturally, we still have questions and concerns about the future.

I'd love to hear from others who've been on a similar path:
    - Has anyone else had such a positive response to TCHP?
    - How did your journey continue after the initial good response?
    - Any tips for the maintenance phase ahead?
    - What helped you stay positive through it all?

Thank you for reading, and looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice! Heart️
