Feels absolutely awful to have to join this club but I'm so grateful it's here.
I found Lord Voldelump about a month ago, got seen really quickly by the breast team. Mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy, all done and dusted.
Unfortunately there was a bit of a wait for the biopsy results but I got them back 2 days ago.
The phone rang with that all too familiar number, I just knew in my bones it wasn't going to be the good phone call. Its cancer, she said all sorts of things I can't remember but in next week for an mri then lumpectomy in the new year.
It may take 8 books and a movie franchise but Voldelump will get his butt kicked!!
Hello , I've hopped over from the Ovarian Cancer group , I have Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer and also 2 different types of breast cancer which will be dealt with in the new year (read my bio). I'll be having a double mastectomy. my OC has a name too CUMFFA which stands for C*nty Mac F*ck Face , I just couldn't give it a human make .
I've named my lumps (The C*ntasauri)
I know that phone call and conversation too well , it's like time just stopped and the information was like information overload.
On a brighter note , I've responded to chemo really well and my support group has been amazing .
All the best and Voldelump will be destroyed.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
