Hi All
im new here - first post so be gentle!
I was diagnosed with triple positive BC in June - I’ve had my surgery and they got it all with no spread to lymph nodes .
I’ve had my chemo and about to start radiotherapy and am on herceptin, zolodex injection and letrozole
My hair started falling out by the handful so I did a “brave the shave” at the start of November and raised £4200 and then got hubby to take some proper photos to remember it by - it’s not often you get to have a buzz cut after all
weirdly my eyebrows and eyelashes fell out this week too 5 weeks after I finished my last chemo!! They were absolutely fine with no loss and then I woke up on Friday and they’d disappeared overnight - my kids thought it was hilarious!
i have a wig but find it uncomfortable to wear - I only bought it as my 3 year old niece won’t even look at me bald and that hurt so I only wear it around her - im Not overly bothered by my fuzzy head and its bobble hat season anyway!
but hopefully better weather is coming and I’m going to have to protect my head - I’ve tried wearing scarves but I hate the look but I’ve seen that you can get just a fringe hair piece which softens the look
However all the ones I’ve seen online are clip in and I have nothing to clip it too!!!! Can anyone recommend any stick on fringe pieces they’ve bought and where you got them from please
thanks in advance xx
Hi Michelle_e and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I have no experience with stick on hair pieces, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I lost my hair while having chemotherapy and mainly wore head covers made and supplied by a company www.annabandana.co.uk. I don't know if you've had a look at those but they were lovely and soft, came quickly and there are lots of designs to choose from.
I hope you can find something suitable.
