Hi , just looking for some quick advice from someone with similar treatment .
2 weeks ago, I had a wide local Incisal op with a mammoplasty .
Today I’ve taken off my steri strips , so I wasn’t quite sure 100% how they went in , it looks like they have removed my nipple removed DCIS and then re-attached .
my only thing now is that my nipple area is a bit sensitive and sure from rubbing on my bra (even though it’s soft and not wired etc .
any tips would be really helpful .
thanks
Hi Satch75
I hope you do not mind me replying as I had a different kind of cancer surgery to you. By doing so it should bump your post and hopefully someone who has experienced similar will see it and offer support.
I am sorry to hear that you are having some sensitivity and soreness around your nipple area. Perhaps this is something you could mention to your nurse and get checked?
Alternatively you could give the Support Line a call and ask one of the nurses whether there is anything that you can use to help with the soreness and prevent the rubbing.
I hope it settles quickly for you and wish you well with your continued recovery.
Jane
