I am 1.5 year since my diagnosis. I move to Basingstoke half a year ago and I don't know anyone here. Literally I just take care of my kids and do things around house. I feel so lonely.
Hi Sparklers85 welcome to the forum and so sorry to hear how lonely that you are feeling. Can I ask why you moved to that area where you don't know anyone and do you have a partner that you could talk with about this or not?.
I'm wondering if there are groups of mum's who maybe meet up nearby you and also if the Health Visitor at your GP surgery could point you in the direction of these. Do the kids go to after school activities as that would be a good way to meet others as well.
Why not give the Macmillan Line a call and see if they can point you to groups in your local area which may be of interest for you? 08088080000. or do you have a local newspaper where groups and activities are advertised?
I moved here with my husband and 2 kids as we bought house. I can talk with him but he is at work all day. It's not the same to have friends you can meet spend some time with . It's just sad that when you sick people care and as soon as you are "well" they forget about you
