I've suffered with gastric reflux for quite some time, but it has seem to got a lot worse since chemo.
When having docetaxel, I get a bad reaction if they give it to me over 25% (which means it takes hours to give it to me!). I end up with a tight chest and an indigestion feeling. They are giving me antihistamines and stuff for gastric reflux but I'm now awake at 3:30am with it playing up again. So im swigging on Gaviscon now.
Has anyone else had this issue?
On my first cycle a few days past and it all calmed down again, but it's stopping me from sleeping at the moment which isn't great.
Hi Littleaimz
I'm sorry to hear you're suffering with gastric reflux. That must be very unpleasant.
I used the search facility to look for other people in this group who've posted about this problem but drawn a blank I'm afraid. However, if you type 'gastric reflux' into the search bar and then choose to search in the breast cancer group you'll find quite a few posts which mention it. You could have a read through those to see if there is anything suggested that you haven't tried.
I hope you're able to get this sorted soon.

Littleaimz I learnt quite late in the day but do ask your treatment team for omneprazole along with your medicines. You take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
