Hi! Im on week 6 of my 8 week wait for a red flag appointment. I have one breast bigger than the other and a thickening in that breast. I tried to put it out of my head but yesterday i discovered some yellow/brown discharge and I am worried sick! Has anyone else had this? My husband suggested another call to gp in case of infection? I think I need to wait it out but it’s so hard. Thanks
Hi LB87 welcome to the forum..I understood that red flag/urgent appointments had a 2 week wait so that does seem excessively long to have waited. I'm.with your hubby and I think you should contact t GP again and tell them what you have said here
. Somebody needs to check this out for you ASAP. Please contact the GP as soon as you can tomorrow and get them to see you and to move the referral forward for you. Best wishes Gail x
Thank you so much for your reply Gail. Unfortunately I’m in NI my gp told me it would be 2 weeks but when I rang the breast clinic to chase it up they told me 6 weeks now for red flag! But it’s ended up being 8 weeks. Gp closed tomorrow but will call on Tuesday although I imagine they will tell me to wait for my appointment. I’m so scared I really hope everything will be ok x
