Evening all
So I'm nearing the end of my horrific chemo experience, its only now that I can even start to consider beauty. I want to try false eyelashes but needless to say I'm a little anxious about glues or adhesives on my skin and around my eyes whilst on chemo. Also adding to my anxiety, I have literally NEVER used them before so a total novice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi Macca
Thanks for this. I've just had a look on YouTube to see how it works. It looks like you need to have some actual eyelashes for them to hold onto, which wouldn't work for me lol. Although will give those a go when they grow back!
How come the tablet form of chemo doesn't cause hair loss? I know that different drugs have different side effects but not heard how the drugs are administered made a difference. That's interesting.
Hi Blurr
ooo didn't realise that, i can't help with that then.
Im not sure hun, one of the side effects is hair thinning, but many don't suffer from that side effect. Im on palbociclib, I suppose all the chemo drugs are different and have different side effects. I wasn't offered the IV chemo as mine is Secondary.

HI Blurr
It didn't come back unfortunately I was diagnosed as secondary straight away in August, click on my profile hun and my story is there.
Good luck with the lashes hun, ive just been and had mine lifted and tinted and my brows waxed and its amazing how much a little pamper makes you feel so much better

Hi, I've had 12 weekly chemos and have 4 left to do. My eyelashes have only just fallen out. Before they did I used eyelure lashes, I had never used them before and it took me a while to get used to them. When your lashes have all gone eyelure do a lash called the C-Lash. You can buy it from boots online. This was created by someone who had been through cancer and had experienced no eyelashes. It has a wide clear strip to stick to the eyelids. I didn't have any reaction to the glues, but it is hard to get off! Hope that helps x
