Hi everyone, I’m 42 and been diagnosed with HER2 +ve BC which has already travelled to the nodes. Had my CT and there is no further evidence of metastatic disease! Not seeing the oncology team until tomorrow but just wondering if anyone out there has had this and also on medication (specifically vedolizumab) for UC. No idea what to expect! X
Hi Leitrim
i'm not quite the same as you I have secondary breast cancer ER+ HER-, i am on targeted therapy of letrozole and pablo, I also have UC which to be fair is usually quite dormant i have a few bad flares a year, since treatment i've had one bad flare which ive managed to get under control with steroids and Asacol, my worry was it would send my colitis really bad but so far ive had one 2 week flare in the 3 months ive been on treatment.
I can't advise with regards to meds as we aren't on the same but fingers crossed you do ok with all the meds.
and i'm sorry you find yourself on this site,
xx
Hi.
Together with IBC HER+ and lymph nodes spread I was diagnosed with IBD 6month before cancer diagnosis. My treatment is completed but all 6 chemo cycles plus radio and op was having terrible impact on my bowels and it is stil not settled. I hope all will go well for you both as treatment is a real challenge with this medical condition as a background xx
