Hi all,

I was told last week that I have breast cancer at age 27. I was told I have an invasive ductal carcinoma in my right breast which hasn’t spread to my lymph nodes. They say that it’s completely treatable and curable however I struggle to believe them.

I’m currently booked in for surgery on the 21st october, however I’m still waiting for the result of the her2 test this week before I have a full treatment plan in place.

My daughter is only 3 and terrified of leaving her without a mum.

I’m also still waiting to see a gynaecologist because of pelvic pain I’ve had for a few years. Back in March they found a ‘large complex cyst’ on one of my ovaries. The past few days since my breast cancer diagnosis the pain in my ovaries has been bad and causing stomach pain too. I’m so concerned that I have ovarian cancer aswell as breast cancer and finding it hard to not think negatively!

thanks for reading x

Hey lovely! Doing okay thankyou hope your doing okay!
My treatment plan has reverted back to surgery first and then chemo because of the delay! I haven’t started any of the fertility stuff yet which is very annoying as I want that all sorted ready for my chemo! I have a partner so we are going to freeze embryos, but we are lucky that we have a 3 year old daughter already!

Ahh ok, do you have a date for your surgery?

I've been for my initial fertility appointment and been given options of eggs or embryos. Struggling to choose which option. Ive been with my boyfriend less than 2 years and felt a bit pushed towards just the egg option. We have an appointment next week for a semen analysis in case we go for embryos, think he's more stressed about that than I have been about everything else! Bless him!

They mentioned delaying my surgery for the fertility stuff, but have asked they get on with my surgery and do the egg harvesting before chemo. I was supposed to start chemo Xmas week but looking more likely to be in the new year now

    Xx

Yes I go in for my lumpectomy tomorrow morning! Eeek!
I’ve had my initial over the phone appointment but they keep saying they are waiting for my funding to be approved! Shrug tone2‍ I’m not paying for this as it was recommended by my consultant and oncologist! Meeting my oncologist later so hoping she can give them a call to push them along!
If they do my chemo 6 weeks after surgery then my chemo will be Christmas week also! But kind of hoping it will be just after Christmas so I can enjoy the day with my little one without feeling poorly! Xxx

Hope all goes well tomorrow, wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery xx

Oh gosh, thats awful! It should be about you and everything you're having to go through. Not about where the money comes from! Hope they get it pushed through for you.

Be lovely if you get to have Xmas with your little one before you're feeling rubbish, hopefully they give you the chance to hold it back just a few days for that. Xxx
