Hi everyone,

I just want alittle advice on skincare, keeping my skin hydrated and what to do about the losing of my eyebrow. Does anyone have any tips? Ive been ill over the past few weeks with chemo and neglected myself alittle. However on thursday i was started on a different chemo drug, i seem to have got some of my energy back but most of all i have my appetite back and im drinking fluids again. Which is a bonus. Just fatigued with doing minor things. I want to look after myself more now i have some energy to do so. So i figured skincare and brows is a good place to start. I have increased my exercise with regular walks and doing a few minutes on the exercise bike a day to build back up any muscle i may have lost.

Any ideas would be great.

Much love

Sam

  • I found E45 quite good as a body lotion.

You can probably find YouTube videos on how to draw on eyebrows. After a bit of experimentation I found short strokes along the general line looked best. I also do eyeliner along the top eyelid so the lack of eyelashes is less noticeable.

At one point I had so little hair that I couldn't remember where my eyebrows were so I just followed the shape of my glasses, but I suppose I could also have looked at old photos for a reminder.

  • Hi Sam, I found E45 cream good and also the simple range. As for eyebrows, I only started losing mine towards the end of chemo I was using the Rapid brow and rapidlash before, during and after treatment. I don’t know if it made a difference or not. I then used Brow tattoo, which gives a realistic eyebrow look, I was also advised at the Look good, feel better meeting to apply a good soft eyeliner on the top eyelid along the lash line which helps when you have no lashes.

Ive recently started using E45 found its very good, i will have to try the brow tattoo. I just wear minimal makeup but i usually wear mascara and and a powder foundation. Ive noticed if i just use non perfumed products aswell that they work really well.

  • They are a few different types of the brow tattoo, L’Oréal Brow artist it’s called I found that the best one, they was another one, can’t think what is called though. There are the ones that have 3 angled tips, a bit like a felt pen, so it adds three brush stroke lines that look like hairs x
