Hi

i am quite new to treatment, I am on hormonal therapy, so i've had the Zoladex injection and im on letrozole, Palbociclib and Denosumab.

What can people recommend vitamin wise? am i safe on hair skin and nail vitamins? also ive had a huge breakout of acne can anyone recommend anything for this to?

many thanks xxx

  • I've got Zoladex and Exemestane ahead of me but during chemo I found E45 really good. And for any cancer treatment, drinking lots of water seems to help.

Your cancer nurse should be able to check about vitamins for you. From memory if it has 'vitamin' in the name it's ok but I think St Johns Wort and/or Evening Primrose might be different.

Hi macca5861- I’m on the same treatment as you. I’ve been given calcium and vit d tablets. I don’t take any other ones but am looking into my diet and what to eat and not eat- I have hashimotos disease as well as hormone positive breast cancer which has spread to bones so I’ve went dairy free and cut out a lot of gluten and limited sugar and meat- who knows if it helps?? Hi- Because they are taking hormones out of my body I’m trying not to put any in- dairy products and meat/fish contain hormones so that’s why I decided to go dairy free. No one asked me to. Also hashimotos lends itself to food sensitivities so want to see if dairy free makes any difference. I’ve cut down on gluten and sugar. Been dairy free for about 7/8 months. Jo x
