I’m on my second month of Zoladex injections and 3rd round of EC chemo. The past week I’ve really struggled with hot flushes at night. I’ve barely slept and disturb my partner because I’m constantly on and off with the bed covers.
I’m 35 and thought I’d be able to handle the hot flushes but it really isn’t fun and I feel really desperate for solutions now.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to try acupuncture at some point but I’m not sure if it’ll be available to me at this time.
Is there anything else I could try!?

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that you're struggling with hot flushes at night since having chemotherapy. It must be very unpleasant especially as the nights are hot anyway.

I can't help with your question but noticed that you hadn't had any replies yet. Could I suggest that you also post this question in the main breast cancer group as it's much busier than this group. They have a dedicated monthly chemotherapy thread which would be a good place to copy and paste your post to.

I do hope that you can find something that helps soon

    Hi Pooky_fx

I am 32 and have just fished 7 rounds of chemotherapy. Had 1 round of (FEC) which i couldn't handle at all. I was very sick so my consultant did EC only for rounds 2, 3 and 4, and then Docitaxel for rounds 5,6 and 7.

Omg the hot flushes are soooooo awful. I have them during the night and the day. At night time iv now set up a fan next to my bed. I jist stick it on #1 for a few hours then turn it off.i spend the night sticking it on and off. I haven't slept a full night since starting treatment but with the fan on i do fall asleep alot quicker.

    Hope this helps x
