I’m looking for advice or answers or just support really.... so I found a lump which was thought to be a Fibroadenoma, I had an ultrasound and a biopsy because the edges are irregular. Today I received a phone call from the hospital saying the results have come back and it’s more complicated than they thought. The breast team and drs discusses my results Friday. They have called me to come in this Wednesday to discuss my results, to have an ultrasound and an mri.... has anyone experienced this and what was the outcome? Thankyou

    Hi

I cant really any advice on your original diagnosis..

All I can tell you is my story in brief, the rest is on my profile.  Just click on my name if you feel you want to read it.

I went to the doctors with an inflamed cyst, who then referred me for mammogram.  When I got to the hospital they did my mammogram and then and ultrasound , they must of seen something not right so a radiologist came to do a biospy. I was told by the consultant that the radiologist was concerned with what he saw. It was thickening of the breast which I later found out was early stage breast cancer.

I'm not suggesting for one minute that this is the case for  you. So please dont panic. And please do not use dr google , I did in the early days and it scared me beyond words.

The ultrasound and mri will be for confirmation.

Is it today that you've been to the hospital ? I hope youve had good results.

I've found this site to be informative and supportive ,.none of us want to be here. But it's good to see others success stories and advice.

If you join the main breast cancer forum it's a little busier than this one , so you may get a few more responses from there.

    Take care

    Hi Julie,

Thankyou for taking the time to reply.

    Oh sherryann

I'm so sorry to hear that. It will take a while for you to process this information. I'm not actually sure you ever do really. As speaking from experience you dont feel ill and feel quite normal,  whatever normal is. At 27 its not something you associate having.

If you need advice or just a rant , this forum is great for both. With some extremely knowledgeable people. Who have been a great support to me.

You take care lovely , take each day as it comes. And please dont google .

    Julie xx

  • Hi Sherryann1992

I'm really sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis.

This is a great place to vent, chat and ask for advice.....the main breast cancer forum is also usually the busiest (not sure if your on that one).

This is not a journey that any of us want to travel....but just know that your not alone.

I don't know the details of your diagnosis but if you want to know mine you can click on my bio as some of us have different diagnosis/treatment.

Wishing you all the best xx

  • Hi, hope your processing things slowly. I've been diagnosed just yesterday too. I am also in shock. It's taken me courage to answer back on this forum. I never bthoughtvthis would happen to me at an early age at 41 either. Sending you a huge hug xxxx
