Hi ladies,
I know I’ve asked this question before! I had my first 3 hour paclitaxel on Thursday and I’ve had no side effects so far..I know it’s only day 3 and I shouldn’t get ahead of myself but is this norma I’ve had a little bit of a dodgy tummy but nothing terrible. Am I getting to ahead of myself and will they kick in at some point? I’m not taking any steroids with this round of chemo and I start my readed filgrastim injections tonight which I hate as they make me feel quite bad. Also I was wondering if any of you had the odd glass of wine while having this treatment? I’ve been told I can have the odd one but wanted to ask if any of you have? It’s my besties birthday today so would like a wine with her later! I’ve read so many conflicting things about alcohol online but I’m guessing if the chemo nurse said a wine won’t hurt I can have one or two! Xx

I can't answer your questions as I didn't have this treatment but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies. It might be a good idea to also post this question in the busier breast cancer group which I can see you're a member of. The group has a dedicated chemotherapy thread where you could post.

I have been on weekly paclitaxel since Dec. And have had nearly NO side effects.
I am not sure: are you on 3-weekly paclitaxel because I believe that is a bit different?
Also I have still been getting steroids as part of my premeds, but no GcSF.
I indeed enjoy a glass or 2 of something once a week or so and it has no detrimental effects whatsoever.
Just finished cycle 8 today and feeling good
