I was diagnosed in May (then 29 years old), had a round of fertility preservation treatment in June, started chemo in July with 3 rounds of FEC and 3 rounds of Taxotere. Lost all my hair, including eyebrows and eyelashes. During Taxotere I also started having hot flushes (which are still ongoing), my periods stop and I had vaginal and oral thrushes for several weeks. I had surgery at the end of November and we had good results from that (finally some good news!!).
I am due to start radiotherapy in a couple of weeks time and also Tamoxifen for the next ten years.
Me and my partner celebrated our ten year anniversary last month. My self esteem has never been so low than in the last few months. I have found myself hating the way I looked. I have zero libido, on top of that I have the worst vagina dryness and I simply can’t give my partner what he would like at the moment. I am only 30 and I’m worried it will never go back to normal...
I don’t know who to talk to about this. Where could I get help from? Has anyone got any advice?
