Hi all, any recommendation for post surgery bra? I was told about the obvious such as non-wired, front fastening, etc. Has anyone found something worth mentioning? Preferably cotton.

  • Hi

I would check with your hospital first - I had mastectomy and implant recon and was fitted with a bra at the hospital , after that I found the most comfortable thing was a tight vest with a bra shelf - I was never in pain but was very uncomfortable for quite a while. I have just had my implant replaced and had the DIEP flap surgery and my nurse said to just buy simple fuss free bras which I have done and all is fine.

Good luck with your surgery , if you are having an implant it is generally straightforward.

Hi Jo, thanks for your reply. I was advised in hospital to get 2 sports bra to wear for 6 weeks after the surgery. Will try to go to shops after Christmas.

Was it your decision to remove the implant or things went a bit wrong?

I hope your all clear now - looked at your profile no recent updates:)

    All the best,

    Anna
