So it has been 3 weeks since I popped to the Drs to have a quick look at my dodgy nipple and what a whirlwind it has been
told at 43 I’m very young for this to happen
referred to hospital after biopsies and ct and mri found I have a 2.5 cm in my left breast and in my lymph nodes
booked in to start chemo this Thursday followed by operation in April then radiotherapy bit scared but think it’s just to get started and not know what to expect
I don’t feel like my feet have touched the floor
Dear Kdtae,
I am sorry you've got to go through all this.. It such a horrid shock, but honesty as soon as things get started, you will start to feel better. Give yourself lots of goals and treats to get through the next few months...
This is a great place to ask any questions or voice any concerns about little things that might me worrying you along the way.
Take Care.
Lots of BIG love,
Sukki xx
Hi Kdtae,
I am sorry to hear that you are joining our club which none of us wanted to be signed up for. It’s all normal what you are feeling as there are so many appointments and not knowing what to expect as it’s a long roller coaster ride which you want to stop but it keeps on going. As others have said you will start to deal with it all as time goes on and start to accept what has happened. I was fortunate enough to not need Chemo but I have been through surgery twice and am in the middle of my Radiotherapy and on hormone therapy treatment. I was petrified of it all but I dealt with it day by day and kept telling myself that part is done now let’s get ready for the next bit. The whole journey is not easy but you do cope.
Wishing you lots of love and hugs and strength as you can kick cancer in the butt like the rest of us are doing or have done. Remember you are not alone as we all know how you feel. Everyone is lovely and supportive on this community.
Love Netty xxxxx
Hi
sorry you find yourself on this rollercoaster bit you will get lots of support from everyone here and the main breast cancer page is amazingly supportive also. There is a thread on there called December chemotherapy thread which you might find helpfull.
I'm in a similar place to you,44 just started chemotherapy yesterday then going to have herceptin and hormone blockers. Eventually skin sparing mastectomy with option of immediate reconstruction or delayed. So much to think about! Trying to take it one step at a time.
I've mostly been on the main page recently but will be checking in on this page if I can help you . Good luck with everything! Gentle hugs xxx
